With graduation festivities occurring over the weekend, the school administration expected most of the graduation guests to begin arriving today. To ensure guests felt welcomed, Barney's student council minions had set up a small gathering on the lawn where the guests could arrive, mingle, and feign relaxation before heading off with their graduates.

Or where they could all hear about how George got the makeouts with his girl the night before. Someone was a little chatty while hefting the tables and chairs that would serve guests well for getting a load off after travel, and Barney thought it was a tale worth sharing. For the hungry and forgetful, there were finger foods and nametags spread out on a long table. It was time to get the all-weekend grad party started!

Jaina hadn't heard anything from home or John, so she was assuming no one was showing. She'd come to grips with it, or at least was pretending like a champ. She was disappointed, but she understood. Sometimes things came up, and it wasn't like she hadn't given her parents warning after warning about coming here now. They probably thought she didn't want them there anyway. She'd live.

Anyway, there were still people to watch, and she might have been hoping to see Luke show. So she found a spot off to the side to keep a lookout and to not look like she was trying to force herself to mingle or anything.

A familiar Force presence probably gave him away before he came into sight. "Jaina!" Luke said, giving her a bright smile.

Yeah, after six years of leaving Jaina off on this planet that she hated that kept giving her so much trouble, Han was really going to stay away while his little girl was finally graduating. People could probably say a lot about his parenting skills, but he was gonna be here for that.

"You look like you're looking for something," he greeted her, complete with trademark lopsided smile.

Kyle wasn't meeting anyone. He wasn't graduating, though he did know some people that were. Really, he had no reason to be here, but there was free food that wasn't pre-packaged and didn't involve preparing. Of course he was here.

Don't mind him. He was going to be over here, near the food table, stuffing his face.

So, apparently his parents were coming. Now, that was a surprise in itself because he hadn't been expecting it. They'd been busy when he'd been free and he'd been busy when they'd been free.

Hannibal wasn't sure how things were going to go but he was a little excited about seeing his parents again after so long. Hopefully, things would go smoothly for the entire weekend. He could only but hope.

"Well, you don't look like you've withered away," John said lazily once he'd spotted the younger King in the crowd. "Not that I was concerned."

"He only cried once or twice," Julia added, already reaching out for a hug. She didn't care if he was an adult, he was getting hugged by his mother. "It was quite manly."

Just because Angela didn't have any family coming (and don't think she wasn't a little put out by that), she would not be stopped from coming out to see who else was around for graduation. Always a people person, she was winding through the small crowd, mingling and picking at the finger food.

Chuck had been so preoccupied being worried about where the hell Castiel had gone off to, he almost forgot about this whole graduation thing. Lily and Nate both said they'd show up this weekend but Chuck had his doubts. He really didn't think Lily was required to show up, stepmother or not, and Nate was well...Nate. He tended to forget about things that weren't about him.

Either way, Chuck had made sure to be at this little gathering just in case hell froze over and they did show.

Nate decided to forgo the nametags (because, seriously? Were they really needed in a town this small) and decided to brave the dangers of getting lost in order to find Chuck. And, wouldn't know you it, he managed to do it with little trouble. Truly it was a miracle.

"Hey, man," Nate said, immediately pulling Chuck into a one-armed hug. "I managed to find you."

No, seriously, the fact he managed to do that by himself was extremely impressive.

Naomi knew that her parents were coming for graduation as well as Icheb, Admiral Janeway had told her that she'd try to make it but she wasn't really expecting her to turn up.

She thought she'd keep a look out just in case and so she was there and mingling.

Suffice to say that this Great Detective was no mingler; while he would attend a party as befitted one of his situation, he largely kept to the edges of the crowd and observed those there unless he had a specific objective. If approached, he would be nothing but cordial, but he felt it best to leave such a matter in the hands of others; whether this was from age-old stubbornness of some sort or a mental tic designed to prevent his mind from considering them prey to be approached was hard to say and not something he was about to bend his mental energies upon.

He did wonder where Jack might be.

Fiona made her way to the 'festivities' mostly because she was hoping to see some of the people she'd missed while dealing with her family... trials and tribulations.

Okay, so Griff had been keeping scarce of late, but this in no way stopped him from coming down to the lawn for some up-close people watching. In his opinion, there should be some sort of game associated when outsiders came to Fandom. Maybe he'd make up his own.

While it shouldn't take superpowers to find people in a crowd, it really kind of did when the people, or person really, John was in search of were nearly microscopic in size.

Okay, maybe not microscopic, but a hell of a lot shorter than most of the people gathered. This lead to John wandering through the people with a tag declaring his name was have you seen this girl? with a very tiny stick figure drawn under the words.

John was ready to mingle, oh yes.

Cor situated himself by the food, naturally. It wasn't even so much that he was hungry -- though, of course, he was. A day of riding would do that to you. It was more that he knew Aravis would be looking for him here.

Rory was mingling -- at least, as much as one can mingle with a toddler on their lap. So really, she wasn't 'mingling' so much as 'feeding Cheerios to Juliet and people-watching.'
