The time for a final strike had finally arrived. The prisoners of detention had been freed, powers and abilities had been returned, and all that remained was Umbridge, and her still-faithful Loyalists.

It was time to pick a side, and bring Umbridge's reign to an end.

Raven was guarding the school as commanded, pacing restlessly as she waited for a fight. She was looking forward to the imminent violence.

Yesterday, Warren hadn't gotten involved as the Resistance raided and took out the detention hall. All power to them, he couldn't have been bothered to care. And they'd taken out the library, he'd ignored that, too. But when he'd gone to his office that morning to try to find a quiet place to collect his wits, he'd been met with a nasty, rather corrosive surprise that had taken him a good twenty minutes to wash from his skin, searing his flesh away as quickly as he could heal it.

Between that and the fact that, to the best of his knowledge, Karla was on the Loyalist side, he really had nothing left to lose by throwing himself away to the only side of the fight that would take him.

His wings were spread as he crouched on one of the parapets, keeping his eyes open for any would-be intruders who were looking for trouble. They'd get it, with a scream and a flurry of razor-edged metallic feathers, and to hell with the consequences.

This was dumb. Zayne knew it. He was a Padawan who was going to wash out of the program to begin with, he'd been imprisoned for years up until yesterday, he didn't have a lightsaber, and he wasn't a killer.

And yet there he was, wandering out into the hallways not far from the library as a scout.

At least he had a small branch as a weapon? It wasn't much, but he could use it defensively like a staff. That counted for something.

Ace hadn't been in the school proper for months, aside from a few sneak runs to the dorms to get news from -- or deliver toys to -- the ones who were sticking it out undercover.

It was weird, wandering the halls near the library with a bat in one hand and a can of nitro inches from the other, keeping an eye out for Umbridge's people.

She'd barely been a student here before she pissed people off enough to cut her choices down to run or get shut up in detention, yet now... it felt like she'd helped re-take something that was hers. Like, possibly for the first time in her life, she belonged somewhere.

He didn't have any weapons actually on him but Goose was a genetically engineered super soldier and part of his Wolf Den training had included learning to fight without relying on weapons.

He just needed to fight something.

After the conversation with Juliet, Bruce needed to get out into the hallways and take some frustrations out on the Madri. He was even fine generating some extra before choking them out. As he finished with one group, he would track down another Madrox and start again.

It felt good, and it was at least partially beneficial.

But eventually he needed to get back to the library and make sure nothing bad happened there. Just in case.

After her fight with the Hulk, Raven had to retreat for a time to nurse her wounds and to rejoice over finally being free. She'd finally broken the spell that had bound her. She wasn't looking for a fight, but if anyone, resistance or loyalist, came looking for one, she just might oblige them.

The thing about taking a prisoner (http://lockeunlocked.livejournal.com/876.html) (and wasn't that a weird thought, that he had a prisoner. Seriously, this was, like, Advanced) was that eventually Peter needed to be given food. And so did Topher, for that matter. Food was great.

So, armed with his sonic disruptor just in case, he left Peter in the warehouse where they'd set up and took off for some Mooby Land burgers. Surely nothing could go wrong while he was just grabbing some food, right?

Victor had told Starsmore he'd be heading for the school, and he was. But he took a rather circuitous route as he tried to round up any scragglers, and anyone who might be fleeing the island.

He ran into a flock of Madri by the park and left them chained to a bike rack; it wouldn't hold forever, but he couldn't bring himself to kill anyone under the Imperio.

He knew a little too well what mind control was like.

As he was leaving the radio station, Yakko was handed a note that, in no uncertain terms, spelled doom for the entire island.

"THERE'S A BOMB IN CHILLY BOULDER THAT WILL DESTROY THE ISLAND!"

If something wasn't done, the Resistance would have nothing to reclaim. The Loyalists would have nothing to defend. Nothing would have any meaning. And Yakko was the only one who could save the day.

Yakko made his way over as quickly as he could casually stroll while stopping to hassle some Madri for old times' sake.

When he arrived, he made some small talk with the terrified clerk who had been on the receiving end of some Warner torment over the years.

Eventually, Yakko explained that he had a note saying there was a bomb in the place that would destroy the island.

The clerk explained that the Flavor Bomb was a new ice cream creation they were testing in the back that featuring every flavor they had in the store combinged into one beautiful, multicolored scoop. It would destroy the island with flavor.

He wasn't even done explaining before Yakko was in the back room with a spoon, diffusing the situation.

The day was saved. AND DELICIOUS.

Jamie stood on one of the many rooftops in Fandom, seeing the battles going on all around him.

And the Madri doing damage to students, friends and... people that Jamie used to annoy.

It wasn't right.

Digging deep he reached out with what was left of his mind and began to shut the Madri down. Each and everyone.

One by one the Madri began to fall to the ground until only Jamie was left.

And when the last Madri was gone he felt something pop in the center of his head...

And now Jamie was gone too.
