All Across the Island, Sunday Morning through Afternoon

The time for a final strike had finally arrived. The prisoners of detention had been freed, powers and abilities had been returned, and all that remained was Umbridge, and her still-faithful Loyalists.

It was time to pick a side, and bring Umbridge's reign to an end.

Kenzi looked at it, and held out her hand to touch it. "You don't want to keep it?" For the sake of something to say, more than anything else. "You never know. Could be useful."

Cara didn't feel bad about doing what had been necessary, but didn't mean it was something to be proud of either. "I don't need a keepsake." Trophy.

"'Kay." Kenzi took it, tightening her fingers on it. More quietly, without looking at Cara, she asked, "You okay? You didn't get hurt?"

"Cool." Kenzi shoved the amulet in her pocket. She'd think about it later. But it had to have been quick, if Cara didn't even get hurt. Bo was gone, nothing to be afraid of now. Or sad about.

It wasn't something Cara particularly thought she deserved needed thanking for. "I made it painless." In more ways than one.

Something in Kenzi's expression relaxed. She and Tara had found the amulet, and she'd asked Cara to do it, so she felt kind of... responsible. It was good to know it hadn't been the worst call she could make.

"Good. I'm glad." She smirked a tiny smile. "And that you're okay."

Cara had never really developed a taste for the stuff, but she could in fact tell a change of subject when it was offered. "Thank you."
