Ethics [Thursday, November 19, 1st period]

Today Anakin's desk was covered with droid babies in bassinets.

Each baby had a tiny stuffed Ewok tucked next to it. Shh.

"Today we talk about lust," Anakin said. "Or rather, the unintended consequences that can happen when you take action without precautions."

He smiled. "Meet your little projects for the next two weeks. They're heavy, they cry, and they will record everything you do with them. So if you stuff them into a closet for the duration, believe me, I'll know."

After all, he'd built all of them.

He reached for a list of paper. "Some of you I've paired together, some of you are single parents." His smile turned a little evil. "Some of your babies are a little fussier than others."

Bobby had had an absolutely horrible week, culminating in getting freaking electrocuted yesterday (by his teammates, even. Nice, huh?). Not to mention the near-fistfight he'd gotten in to with Scott over a subject suspiciously close to today's lecture.

So, yeah, he was just going to drop his head to the desk with a distinct thump.

Jonas...really didn't have any valid thought processes or ways to understand this. He was just left staring and slightly frightened of how bad he would be at this exercise.

...Liir was more troubled by the idea of caring for a tik tok than he was with the idea of caring for an actual living being. He'd taken care of enough varied young Animals (and an older woman on her last legs) to where the idea wasn't particularly troublesome.

But the fact that it was a fake baby...

Because that's what Maron was doing--taking care of fake babies was way better than anything she had Tara had thought up concerning lust.

Kyle reached down, picked up the baby and started rocking it gently. It was almost as if he'd done this before, or was good at picking up what he'd seen done before. He went to look at Emma.

He clearly took after Francine in the lung capacity department. She did blink a little at the volume for a second, but then reached for the crying baby immediately, scooping him up and bouncing him against her shoulder while she waited for Karla.

Raven gingerly held her "daughter." She wasn't without maternal instincts and the longing for a child someday, but she knew it would be an entirely irresponsible thing for her to do at any age. She couldn't put someone else through the torment of the pull of her demon blood.

Yay for a holiday coming in a convenient time! Two weeks should give you enough time to be thoroughly sick of your droid babies get in some decent RP time with your kids.

They will cry for at least three hours a day, and will wake up promptly at 12, 2, and 4 in the morning. They also come with blankets and bottles with a sensor in the tip, so that you can "feed" the kid.

And don't lose the stuffed Ewoks--the babies will be inconsolable.

They are also tamper-proof, so if you try to tinker with the robotics, Anakin will know (and the baby will start screaming and never, ever EVER shut up, so the dorm won't thank you).

...now that I'm a mom, I think I'm more evil with this than I used to be. Mwahahaha. Have fun!
