Ethics [Thursday, November 19, 1st period]

Today Anakin's desk was covered with droid babies in bassinets.

Each baby had a tiny stuffed Ewok tucked next to it. Shh.

"Today we talk about lust," Anakin said. "Or rather, the unintended consequences that can happen when you take action without precautions."

He smiled. "Meet your little projects for the next two weeks. They're heavy, they cry, and they will record everything you do with them. So if you stuff them into a closet for the duration, believe me, I'll know."

After all, he'd built all of them.

He reached for a list of paper. "Some of you I've paired together, some of you are single parents." His smile turned a little evil. "Some of your babies are a little fussier than others."

Angela was. not. touching this thing.

She was, however, demanding, "Make it stop. My ears are very sensitive."

"Oh for pete's sake..." Bones rolled his eyes and picked up the robot...thing and tried to do the little rocking thing mom's did to kids in the movies.

Yeaaah, the screaming wasn't stopping.

"Well, gee, that doesn't seem to be working," Angela said pointedly.

"Then how about you do something?" Bones said, holding the robot out.

She looked at the robot sternly, and said, "You stop that right now."

When it didn't stop, she gave her partner a look that said something along the lines of Well, I tried.

Bones rolled his eyes. "I'm not going to be able to put up with this for two weeks."

"Well, you're going to have to," she said. "You're the provider, after all. Provide things that make it stop crying."

"Wait, why am I the provider?" Hi, from the 24th century, here. "This is a team effort."

"I hold down a very traditional household," Angela told him. "Preferably with a nanny."

"Hey, you find a nanny and I'll gladly toss the kid at him or her."

"I'll see what I can do. You should take care of it in your room. My roommate's a wolf." Aha, see, now she was glad to have it around.

"Oh no, you're not dumping this on me for two weeks. My roommate is Emma Frost." And that could be waaaaay worse than a wolf under the right conditions. "We'll split the difference. I'll get take care of, uh, her one week and you do it the next."

"I cannot bring this thing home to my family," she warned. "They're very religious."

So it was the religious family vs. time with the wolf in her room, and she'd prefer to keep the fake kid with the wolf.

Bones groaned. "Fine. I'll take her while you're home. But I'm not getting saddled with her the whole time."

"Fine," Angela agreed. "I'll take little... whatshername first."

"Enjoy," Bones said, handing the robot over. No, he didn't much care for picking out a name.

Angela, for her part, held the thing out, like she was ready to hand it to the next person walking by. "This isn't so bad." Yes it was.

Bones stared. "Yeah, this is going to be so much fun."
