Ethics [Thursday, November 19, 1st period]

Today Anakin's desk was covered with droid babies in bassinets.

Each baby had a tiny stuffed Ewok tucked next to it. Shh.

"Today we talk about lust," Anakin said. "Or rather, the unintended consequences that can happen when you take action without precautions."

He smiled. "Meet your little projects for the next two weeks. They're heavy, they cry, and they will record everything you do with them. So if you stuff them into a closet for the duration, believe me, I'll know."

After all, he'd built all of them.

He reached for a list of paper. "Some of you I've paired together, some of you are single parents." His smile turned a little evil. "Some of your babies are a little fussier than others."

Hayley stared at the baby-droid with a look of disappointment.

"I think we should trade it in for a puppy," she said.

Liir looked at the baby and his lips flattened.

"I already have a puppy," he said, "but I don't think we're allowed to."

The baby was eyed warily.

"One of these made me leap into my own closet during my first year here. They honestly give me the creeps."

"I think it's kinda cute," Hayley said, picking it up and holding it... oddly like a pro.

"What're we gonna name her?"

He looked at the 'baby' for a moment before shrugging.

"I don't know. And anything I come up with will probably make you blink. Ozian names have a different flavor than most of those around here."

"You're from Australia?" Hayley said, always on a slightly different wavelength.

"No, I'm from Oz. It's a different land entirely. But unless Melena or Ayala or Evirene really strike your fancy, it's best you decide."
