Danger Room - Detention, Saturday Morning (07/08/06)

"Morning, dudes! Today's my last day, and it's detention, and that's..." Ted trailed off in thought. "Actually, that's pretty much like when I was in high school. Anyway, war is hell and so is detention. So today, each of you dudes will face off with a most heinous spawn of Hell and you'll have to escape and/or defeat the bad dude. Okay? Excellent!"

There were five doors in front of them. Each door was a different color and had the student's name on it. "You can take in whatever you've got on you, but weapons and magic won't do any good. They're just hologrammy things. Step up, dudes. Oh, and at the end? You all get Twinkies."

[OOC: Time zones sucketh muchly, so if you get in early I'm happy to play your opposition, but after I sign out in the OOC thread below you'll be on your own until evening...when I wake up. IC you're released at 5pm FHT. OOC you're released once you've done the tasks.

Tim Desmond - Pink Door

"It just keeps going and going," Ted said and directed Tim to the pink door.

As soon as Tim stepped up, the door slid open to allow him entry. Once he was inside, it would close behind him and leave him in a high hedge maze. The maze was foggy, but there was a low drumming in the distance. It was getting closer. Eventually, something came around the corner. It was big, fluffy, pink and pounding away at a drum.



It's a giant Energizer bunny!

"Wha?" Tim managed before side stepping the bunny and taking off. Who knew Professor Ted had such issues?

Draco Malfoy - Green Door

"Say hi to grandma for me," Ted said and directed Draco to the green door.

As soon as Draco stepped up, the door slid open to allow him entry. Once he was inside, it would close behind him and leave him in what looked like a well-adorned dining room. There was a huge birthday cake on the table with what seemed like a zillion candles. At the head of the table was an old lady asleep in her chair.



No wait, grandma's woken up and she's spotted you. "Draco," she cooed. "Come and say hello to Grandma." She's puckered her lips and now she wants a big slobbery kiss!

"Oh my god!" yelled Draco. It's true that Draco's grandma has been dead since he was seven but he still could remember the horror of old person smell.

He moved to the end of the table that was opposite of the old woman. He had to think...

"Um...isn't Andy Griffith on TV?" asked Draco "Wouldn't you rather watch that and reminisce about a time when you could go to the movies for only a nickel?"

Pip Bernadette - Gray Door

"Blocking your ears isn't an option, dude," Ted said and directed Pip to the gray door.

As soon as Pip stepped up, the door slid open to allow him entry. Once he was inside, it would close behind him and leave him in a gray room that was completely empty...aside from the big-headed robot standing in the middle of it.

The robot's shoulders were slumped, but when he saw Pip he looked up. "It's about time you got here," he moped and sighed. "Life. Don't talk to me about life."



Uh-oh. Pip's trapped in a room with an emo robot who wants to tell him ALL about how his life sucks!

Hermione Granger - Red Door

"You know," Ted said thoughtfully as he directed Hermione to the brown door. "I've never gotten out of this one on my own."

As soon as Hermione stepped up, the door slid open to allow her entry. Once she was inside, it would close behind her and leave her in a huge library. A scary, cranky librarian spotted Hermione and pointed at her. "You! Give back that library book!"



Oh no! The librarian thinks that Hermione hasn't returned a library book and she looks MAD!

Hermione startles a bit. "I'm sorry, ma'am," she stammers, "I've never been in this library before. I'm sure I would remember."

M. Parker - Black Door

"Watch out for your shoes," Ted warned as he directed Parker to the black door.

As soon as Parker stepped up, the door slid open to allow her entry. Once she was inside, it would close behind her and leave her in a rather messy bedroom. It was quiet at first, but then the closet began to rattle and then burst open to reveal a closet monster. But what did it want?



"Shooooooooes," it groaned and gobbled up a very nice pair of Prada shoes. "SHOOOOOES!" It lunged at Parker's shoes, but couldn't seem to leave the closet.

Draco made a tee pee out of twinkies during lunch. He was going to eat it eventually. But first he must marvel at his skill!

Parker wasn't real hungry after her ordeal. But she did find consolation in eating a Twinkie veeeerry slowly.

Hermione does not want to be here and it shows. And she's slightly disturbed by the Twinkies. She occasionally pokes at it just to see what happens.

"In front of you is pretty much everything you can find in any standard Kwik Stop or Circle K. And a backpack. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to come up with a time travel survival kit. If you had to go time travelling, what would you take with you? I highly recommend the pudding cups and bubble gum. The only catch is that it has to fit into your backpack."

Draco definitely took Ted's advice and put bubble gum in the backpack. He then added some duct tape, a water bottle and a few twinkies. Rubber bands were also a must.

Now would making a blow gun out of a straw and tic tacs really be useful in the real world? He decided to put it in there just in case.

Parker grabbed water, a handful of lighters, some cigarettes-- because hey, you could trade them for things-- sunglasses and a hat, a couple packets of mixed nuts, toilet paper, then stopped, trying to figure out what she'd need next.

Hermione carefully selects some water, some non-perishable food items, batteries (she doesn't know when she'll be going to), pens and a notebook to record observations, and yes, gum is a good idea in case she isn't somewhere that water is readily available, and a medical kit.

She then keeps on the lookout in case anything else strikes her.

Pip had always thought that Ted was a smart fellow, so he took his advice and took the pudding cups and bubble gum. He also took some pre-packeged jerky and chips for food and a bottle of water or two. He also grabs a flashlight, some batteries, and some shiny looking useless souviner trinket things for bartering with primative cultures.
