Valentine's Day Dance. The Gym. 8.30 pm

The gym was decorated, the DJs were playing, and the punch was not yet spiked.

Fandom High's Valentine's Day Dance had begun.

Phoebe had agreed to meet Cole at the Valentine's Dance. She was wearing the red two-piece that she had bought for Tuesday and she kept looking up towards the door, looking for him.

Cole sneakily shimmered into the gym opposite the door and quietly moved behind Phoebe, slipping his arms around her waist. "Waiting for someone?" he asked, nuzzling her neck.

Phoebe smiled and leaned back against him. "Not any longer, I think I'd rather spend time with you."

Nadia had apparently arrived at the dance much too early. There was a small group gathered in one corner, but while she recognized some of them, she didn't really know them, so she decided to stick to the punch table for now.

Alas, the punch was non-alcoholic. She should have gone into town before coming.

She felt more awkward then she'd felt in her entire life...

Which wasn't hard because she'd never felt awkward before.

But she felt pretty damn awkward.

Seeing somebody who she knew, and liked, and seemed less likely to laugh, Pippi slinks sheepishly up to where Nadia is standing.

Nadia smiled. "Pippi!" Then her face fell as she noticed her friend's expression. "What's wrong?"

She waved her hands indicating her dress (see avatar).

"I ordered it off the internet. I'm not entirely sure it's..." She continued to flail wave her hands as if it meant something.

Sawyer is all dressed up, he carries a bouquet of red tulips for Paige whenever she decides to arrive. He's also hiding far far away from Phoebe, praying that she won't spot him because that would be bad. Humming to the music, he picks up a cup of punch.

"You look nice," she says coming up quietly behind him, lookng only a little worried since she's not had chance to speak to Phoebe yet.

Still it's not really a date is it? Just two friends meeting up, right?

Startled, Sawyer jolts a little in surprise as he hears her voice coming from behind him; he sets down his cup and hands her the bouquet of tulips (http://pictures.greatestjournal.com/userimg/5658897/1304920) that he brought her.

"Thanks. You look even better." a large dimpled smile comes over him.

Victor entered the gym, Walter in arm. "Wow, this place looks great!" he commented appreciatively.

Walter peered at some of the posters. "Are the people in that poster..." His Latin was good enough that a couple of the pictures made him blush. "Um... I assume this was a student production."

Mac decides to stray from the now rather crowded 'date-free' corner, and snag herself some punch before anything questionable happens to it. She takes a close look before actually drinking from the glass in her hand anyway, it seems better to be safe.

Marty walks over to the punch bowl with Angela probably not too far behind him.

"Well it doesn't look too bad," Marty said pouring a glass for himself and Angela.

He hands the glass to Angela. "You having fun so far?"

"Oh yeah. I talked to Peter for a while, Sam's going to take me out on her motorcycle, Zero's at least mostly over being mad at me, and I danced with you. Definitely one of the better dances I've been to."
