Valentine's Day Dance. The Gym. 8.30 pm

The gym was decorated, the DJs were playing, and the punch was not yet spiked.

Fandom High's Valentine's Day Dance had begun.

"Only if you want to carry your own cup. Don't worry, it's only a few meters away. If a tentacle shoots out of the bowl and tries to strangle me, you'll be the first name I gasp." He grinned and began to walk away.

Pippi wasn't quite paying attention to this exchange but the mention of "tentacle" she takes notice and looks around the gym.

Walter got back from dancing with Victor and leaned in to catch Pippi's attention. "Are you still with us, Miss Longstocking?"

She looks a little wired.

"So what's with the dress, Pippi? I didn't know you really liked wearing anything that wasn't pirate-like. or maybe you're an undercover pirate?" he suggested, raising an eyebrow. "Or maybe a ninja pirate?"

He suddenly thinks of water balloons and doesn't know why.

Pippi leans into Victor and waggles a finger.

"Oh no." She says solemly, "The union between ninja and pirate is a forbidden one... Not that I'm against mixed marrages. But I wouldn't want to be around for family reunions or Christmass."

Pippi pats herself down, then draws her shape out in the air in front of her with her hands.

"An undercover pirate. That's it." Walter said, handing Victor a cup of punch and taking a sip of his own. He grimaced and made a warning face at Victor. It tasted as though it was no longer unspiked.
