Valentine's Day Dance. The Gym. 8.30 pm

The gym was decorated, the DJs were playing, and the punch was not yet spiked.

Fandom High's Valentine's Day Dance had begun.

He's really not trying to be so...innocent. It just happens.

Nadia grinned. "Mostly? It sounds like this: 'meep! meepmeepmeepmeep! pffffffffffffffffft!'"

And then she's blushing again. Her cheeks are getting a hell of a work out tonight.

"Why do I have a feeling that, if asked, Professor Dream wouldn't translate whatever it is you just said?"

Walter's done his share of blushing lately, he's amused to see someone else doing it.

"He might if you asked him nicely." Nadia frowned. "Please don't, though. I don't want to get in trouble again." She shudders. She doesn't remember exactly why, but she now has a very healthy respect for not annoying Dream.

"I won't." Dream reminded him a bit too much of Alucard when Alucard wasn't bothering to pretend to be very human. Not someone to muck about with, in other words. "But maybe this cat unit will mean that Furrball won't hate me quite as much if I can learn how to talk to him."

Nadia rolled her eyes. "Furrball doesn't hate you. And if he does? Well, you did use him as a kitty-shield."

Walter rolled his eyes back at her. "He did use me as a scratching post first." He grimaced and listened to the music. "But I didn't hold it against him or he might still be stuck in the wall."

Nadia nodded. "Thanks for that, by the way. Good to know that if my cat escapes, you'll be able to help me find him."

"You're welcome. It's what friends do, right? The next time Furrball makes a break for it, you know who to look for." He drained his punch and looked around. "Let me know when you want to dance. You're the one who works in a record store, so I am going to make you choose."

Nadia shrugged. "Something with a little bit more rhythm, if nothing else."

A song starts (cause the punch thing has run its course), and Nadia starts bobbing her head slightly. "This is almost decent, a little on the slow side, but it'll do,"

She heads for the dance floor without checking to see if he's following. After all, his boy should probably get the first dance dammit.

And it's just one of the things Walter likes about him. Innocence is sometimes underrated.
