Valentine's Day Dance. The Gym. 8.30 pm

The gym was decorated, the DJs were playing, and the punch was not yet spiked.

Fandom High's Valentine's Day Dance had begun.

"You look nice," she says coming up quietly behind him, lookng only a little worried since she's not had chance to speak to Phoebe yet.

Still it's not really a date is it? Just two friends meeting up, right?

Startled, Sawyer jolts a little in surprise as he hears her voice coming from behind him; he sets down his cup and hands her the bouquet of tulips (http://pictures.greatestjournal.com/userimg/5658897/1304920) that he brought her.

"Thanks. You look even better." a large dimpled smile comes over him.

She smirks ever so slightly as he jumps, "don't worry James, if Pheebes tries to kill you I promise to orb you to safety, well I might let her get one punch in, but no more than that."

She smiles as she takes the tulips and leans up to kiss him on the cheek. "These are beautiful thanks," she says sniffing them. "Mind if I orb them to Geoff's so I don't have to carry them around all night?"

"Uh, sure." he shrugs at her question, and ignores her first comment with a brooding look on his face, "Just hurry back, alright? I want to dance with you." he leans over and gives her a kiss back.

She smiles, "I have a new power, well okay maybe not new exactly, but the one I have's better now." she replies as with the flick of a wrist she orbs the tulips to Geoff's.

"Much easier than actually having to go with them."

He wraps his arms around her waist, "Good, then I wouldn't have to miss you even longer, now would I?" a small smile comes to his face as he looks down at her, she looks gorgeous today maybe it's the fact that he hadn't really been with her like this in a while.

She smiles as he puts his arms around her but only for a moment before pulling away a little to pour herself some punch, which she's praying to spiked, cos her mind is far too aware of eveything that's happening right now.

"I love you James, but...things have changed now, I just need a bit more time. I'm sorry."

He clears his throat as he picks up his cup of punch, looking rather uncomfortable now that she's moved away from him; he watches the other couples dance, in silence, occassionally looking over at her. He really doesn't know what to do now, so he'll wait for her to make the next move.

Paige frowns and inwardly kicks herself for saying what she did just did, but things were different now and she knew how Phoebe felt about James and that made things even more complicated.

Taking a deep breath she reaches out to take his hand and squeezes it gently, just to show him that she does want to be there with him.

Truly excited that she took his hand, he tosses his empty cup in the trash before turning to her, "Want to dance?" he asks curiously.
