The gym was decorated, the DJs were playing, and the punch was not yet spiked.

Fandom High's Valentine's Day Dance had begun.

Nadia's cheeks were flaming by now, but she decided not to let that stop her.

"I can honestly say that I have never searched for anything, except the WC while drunk," Walter answered quite seriously, smirking even more.

Nadia tilted her head the way she'd seen Veronica do it. "What a dull life you've lead, then." She grins, to show she knows he really hasn't lead a dull life. Just a dull drinking life.

"I suppose I haven't been keeping the right drunken livestock hunting company," he answered with a shameless grin. "We'll have to see what wanders through the gym tonight."

"In this school? Could be anything." Nadia lightly touches the mallet under her skirt, for quick reassurance that it's there.

Because in this school, there really could be anything.

Nadia coughs slightly and decides she'd best change the subject before she somehow dies of blushing.

"Thanks!" he replied, brightening. "Walter got it for me for the dance. I'm kind scared to move around too much or else I'll get it dirty."

Nadia raised an eyebrow. "What fun is that? It's a dance. I think actually dancing might be . . . necessary."

"Yeah, it probably is. I just love it so much!" he gushed. Then, he stopped and blushed a little, realizing just how much it looked like he was rubbing it in.

Nadia just smiled. Hell, if she couldn't have the guy, she was glad someone good did.

She just had to remind herself of that on occasion.

"Come on, they'll have to play something we can dance to, soon. Wanna hit the dance floor? You can bring your boy and I'll bring my . . . Pippi. It'll be fun."

Nadia just nods and sips her drink again. No. She's most definitely not wishing that she could get in a slow dance with Walter.

Besides, as an Argentinian, she knows that the faster dances are actually wayyyyy sexier.
