Yearbook Meeting

WELCOME TO THE FANDOM HIGH YEARBOOK
Please help yourself to some coffee, and have a seat. Your editor-in-chief will meet with you personally to discuss why you want to be on yearbook, and specifically what department/position you might be interested in.

Please be patient, and keep things down, as said EIC has suffered a head injury recently, and is recovering.

Rory sits on a table, watching people come in. She has a cup of coffee, though it's significantly larger than the ones on the table, and keeps absently touching the bandage on her forehead.

Evelyn wanders in with her camera and a travel mug of tea. She sits down and starts making notes.

Veronica enters the meeting and wanders over to where Rory is sitting.

"Are you okay?"

Rory smiles. It's thin, but genuine.

"Yeah - bookcase fell on me. I was out for a few, and I have a few cuts and bruises," she says, ruefully gesturing to her head, "but I'll live."

Rory hops off the table and walks to Sawyer.

"Hey, you don't have to be here if you don't want, or if you're tired. I mean, I do, or else I wouldn't," she says, rolling her eyes and pointing at her forehead.

*Logan snickers as he walks in and sees Rory's bandages. He takes a seat in the back and wonders how long he'll be allowed to stay in the room.*

Allie passes the room and decides to check out the yearbook. She's not sure if she has any skills to offer, but it might be a good way to meet people.

She enters the room quietly and blushes furiously when she notices Logan.

What would Lilly do? she asks herself. The answer she comes up with frightens her, but she decides on a middle course of action.

"Hey," she says softly, taking a seat next to him.

"Is there something you need?" Rory asks, grimly coming to stand in front of Huntzberger, her arms crossed.

Logan enters, comes up to Rory and gives her a kiss.

"Crap," she whispers, biting her lip. "Why would he come to this?"

Piper wanders in, looking around. "Uh, is this where the yearbook meeting is being held? I think I might be interested in joining the staff."

Veronica is relieved to see Piper enter the room. She's been studiously ignoring the drama with the Logans, Rory & Allie.

"Hey Piper!" she waves to the empty seat next to her.

After Huntzberger leaves (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhigh/175838.html?thread=7079902#t7079902), Rory finally notices the other people in the room. She sees a dark girl talking to Veronica - one of Phoebe's sisters, she suspects - and gently taps her on the shoulder.

"When you get a minute, I'd love to talk to you," she says, trying valiantly for a smile.

Harry wanders in. He has little idea what is going on and waits for someone to expain what is going on.

Veronica notices the confused looking boy by the door and waves. She realizes that Rory is too wrapped up in her personal drama to actually pay attention to possible new staff members.

"Hi!" she calls out and motions for him to come over.

Marty walks into the meeting late and waves at Rory and picks up a cup of Coffee. He points to his own forehead and makes a gesture as though to check to see if she is okay.

After Huntzberger leaves (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhigh/175838.html?thread=7079902#t7079902), Rory strides across the room to Marty. She notices his movement, and waves dismissively.

"My head's fine," she says as she walks up. "Had a run-in with a bookcase, lost, the usual." She smiles weakly. "How'd the date go?"

Harry gets up from his conversation with Veronica to find Rory. He sits down and patiently waits to be noticed.

After Huntzberger leaves (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhigh/175838.html?thread=7079902#t7079902) and Rory gives herself a second to calm down, she goes over to Harry.

"Hey," she says, trying to smile. Her head is killing her, but she manages to give Harry a friendly nod, running her fingers briefly over the bandage. "How are you? Sorry about the wait. I got...distracted."

"Rory!" Anya yells as she's running towards her.

*Stops to catch her breath* "I just found out what happened and wanted to stop by and make sure you're o.k." she says, genuinely concerned for her roomie.




ooc: for the sake of not having a good reason why she didn't know her roomie had a concussion, lets say Anya was out of town or something.

Rory smiles wryly at Anya. "I'm fine. Or I will be. It still hurts a little, but I'm not concussed or anything."

[ooc: Hey, it's perfectly reasonable that Anya didn't wonder why Rory didn't come home last night. Ror does have a boyfriend who lives in town after all. :)]

"I'd like to be part of the year book in some way, I think it'd be a good experience." Sydney says with one hand on her stomach.

Rory smiles as much as she can, given her injuries, and waves to Sydney. "Sure thing. What department are you interested in - photos, writing, or layout?"

After most of the drama had either left or died down. Evelyn approached Rory.

"Wanna talk about it?"

Rory smiles lopsidedly.

"Nah. He's just a jerk. He won't be back - and if he is, he'll be taken care of more professionally. I apologize for all the drama," she adds, rolling her eyes.

[ooc: Rory would've SO talked to Evie last night, but after all the drama with the Logans, she got a little distracted - as did I - and kind of forgot about the people who were quiet and already members of the staff.]
