Yearbook Meeting



WELCOME TO THE FANDOM HIGH YEARBOOK
Please help yourself to some coffee, and have a seat. Your editor-in-chief will meet with you personally to discuss why you want to be on yearbook, and specifically what department/position you might be interested in.

Please be patient, and keep things down, as said EIC has suffered a head injury recently, and is recovering.

Rory sits on a table, watching people come in. She has a cup of coffee, though it's significantly larger than the ones on the table, and keeps absently touching the bandage on her forehead.

Veronica is relieved to see Piper enter the room. She's been studiously ignoring the drama with the Logans, Rory & Allie.

"Hey Piper!" she waves to the empty seat next to her.

Piper smiles at Veronica, happy to see a familiar face. She sits beside her. "Hey. How have you been?"

Veronica smiles.

"I'm okay. I just got back from a visit home. I apparently missed all the zombie drama."

She thinks for a moment.

"Gee, we haven't talked in a long time. Did I tell you that I finally talked to Lilly and everything is cool between us now?"

Piper laughed. "Oh, don't remind me of the zombie drama. You're lucky you missed that."

She was happy to hear Veronica's news. "I'm very glad to hear that. I think it's great that you two have been given a second chance."

"So, anything new with you? Are you going to Homecoming?"

"I'm going to Homecoming. In fact, my sister nominated me for Homecoming Queen. Can you believe that?"

Anything else new? Piper wasn't sure where to begin. "You know my roommate who has a name that starts with a P, too? She's my long lost sister."

Piper nodded. "Yep, my sister. It's a very long story involving psychics and magic. Believe me, you don't want to know."

"Psychics and magic?" Veronica says with a snort. "Have you been holding out on me, Piper? Are you some sort of supernatural being?" she asks with a laugh and a roll of her eyes.

A look of horror washes across Veronica's face.

"Oh, Piper, I'm sorry. I didn't mean that like it sounded." She is uncharacteristically speechless.

After a few moments, she asks sheepishly, "Well, what, um, are you and what can you do?"

Piper smiles. "I appreciate that."

She lowered her voice so only Veronica could hear. "I'm a witch and I have magical powers. I can freeze things. I'd rather that information not get into the wrong hands. There's a lot of unsavory people around here."

Veronica smiles and decides a change of subject is in order.

"So, who are you going to Homecoming with? I'm going with Lee Adama."

"I'm going with Lindsey McDonald. I actually asked him to go with me. I've never asked anyone out before. How did you and Lee end up going together?"

"I don't think I know him. But good for you, asking him," she says giving Piper a high five.

She tries to remember how exactly she & Lee did end up going to Homecoming together.

"You know, I'm not exactly sure how I ended up with Lee," she admits. "He had called me about working a case for him and we played phone tag a bit. I finally caught up to him in study hall and he asked me. I don't really know him well though."
