Yearbook Meeting

WELCOME TO THE FANDOM HIGH YEARBOOK
Please help yourself to some coffee, and have a seat. Your editor-in-chief will meet with you personally to discuss why you want to be on yearbook, and specifically what department/position you might be interested in.

Please be patient, and keep things down, as said EIC has suffered a head injury recently, and is recovering.

Rory sits on a table, watching people come in. She has a cup of coffee, though it's significantly larger than the ones on the table, and keeps absently touching the bandage on her forehead.

Evelyn wanders in with her camera and a travel mug of tea. She sits down and starts making notes.

Veronica enters the meeting and wanders over to where Rory is sitting.

"Are you okay?"

*Logan snickers as he walks in and sees Rory's bandages. He takes a seat in the back and wonders how long he'll be allowed to stay in the room.*

Allie passes the room and decides to check out the yearbook. She's not sure if she has any skills to offer, but it might be a good way to meet people.

She enters the room quietly and blushes furiously when she notices Logan.

What would Lilly do? she asks herself. The answer she comes up with frightens her, but she decides on a middle course of action.

"Hey," she says softly, taking a seat next to him.

*Logan smiles his most winning smile*

"Hey, yourself. I missed having you around the house - are things okay at home now?"

*His expression changes to a sincere look of concern*

Allie blushes again when Logan says he missed having her around.

"Yeah, everything is fine. My mom got sick and I had to go home to take care of her. But she's okay now."

She twirls a lock of hair, wondering if she should bring up their homecoming date.

Logan relaxes a bit after hearing the news. He smiles again.

"Well, we lost two housemates while you were away - I was starting to think I'm not as charming as I've been led to believe" *winks* "James and Remus are out. Do you think we should try to get new people, or leave it as-is?"

"Wow, so it's just you, me & Lilly now?" she asks. "I guess that explains why I haven't run into anyone since I got back."

She gives Logan a shy smile.

"New roommates might be fun. But we know that the three of us get along and what if we got stuck with someone crazy or," her voice drops, "not human?"

"Good points, all of them. I want to get Lilly's input too before a final decision."

*Logan takes a sip of his coffee [that mun forgot to mention he had earlier]*

"So, now - about that Homecoming dance... are we doing the whole dinner thing too? Is there even a nice restaurant in town, or should I ask my driver to scout out nearby towns? I mean, I could just plan the whole evening, but that seemed a little... presumptuous, you know?"

Rory smiles. It's thin, but genuine.

"Yeah - bookcase fell on me. I was out for a few, and I have a few cuts and bruises," she says, ruefully gesturing to her head, "but I'll live."

Logan enters, comes up to Rory and gives her a kiss.

"Crap," she whispers, biting her lip. "Why would he come to this?"

Rory hops off the table and walks to Sawyer.

"Hey, you don't have to be here if you don't want, or if you're tired. I mean, I do, or else I wouldn't," she says, rolling her eyes and pointing at her forehead.

"I... well...," her face flushes again. "I've never done the homecoming thing, so I don't know. I have no problem with you making plans. I have to check with Lilly on what exactly help she needs from me though. I'm on the Homecoming committee."

Veronica gives Rory a sympathetic look.

"I'm sorry to hear that."

She rolls her eyes when Logan walks in and kisses Rory.

[ooc: I have to agree - I'm about twenty minutes behind and catching up on TiVO, and he's being all annoying. I normally adore him, though.]

"Oh right, the committee. I'm supposed to be on that, but I haven't actually made it to a meeting yet - oops." *shrugs sheepishly* "Well, hey - when you know your schedule, let me know and we can plan something a little more definite. Sound good?

"Hi," Rory says, sitting down next to the nice girl who she had seen around, but had never been introduced to. "I'm Rory." She smiles as widely as she can given her injury, and deliberately turns her body away from Huntzberger.
