Please help yourself to some coffee, and have a seat. Your editor-in-chief will meet with you personally to discuss why you want to be on yearbook, and specifically what department/position you might be interested in.

Please be patient, and keep things down, as said EIC has suffered a head injury recently, and is recovering.

Rory sits on a table, watching people come in. She has a cup of coffee, though it's significantly larger than the ones on the table, and keeps absently touching the bandage on her forehead.

"Wow, so it's just you, me & Lilly now?" she asks. "I guess that explains why I haven't run into anyone since I got back."

She gives Logan a shy smile.

"New roommates might be fun. But we know that the three of us get along and what if we got stuck with someone crazy or," her voice drops, "not human?"

*Logan takes a sip of his coffee [that mun forgot to mention he had earlier]*

"So, now - about that Homecoming dance... are we doing the whole dinner thing too? Is there even a nice restaurant in town, or should I ask my driver to scout out nearby towns? I mean, I could just plan the whole evening, but that seemed a little... presumptuous, you know?"

"I... well...," her face flushes again. "I've never done the homecoming thing, so I don't know. I have no problem with you making plans. I have to check with Lilly on what exactly help she needs from me though. I'm on the Homecoming committee."

[OOC: This might just be woobietorture of Rory, but -- I can see him cheating on her with someone like the Rory he started dating. Someone who was smart and loved school and wasn't basically a complete trophy wife in training. Because I think what his phone call about turning into his father was showing was that he sees him and Rory marrying and being just another society couple if they keep going the way they are, and I don't think Logan wants or is ready that.

Or he might just sleep with a tramp, because He Can.]

[OOC: I know! She's like a Rorybot. I mean, I don't think it's completely uncharacteristic, but I'm still sick of it.

I did feel like the scene with Lane was a little bit of a crack in DAR!Rory. Hope it means we get old Rory back soonish. I can't imagine she'll really take more than the semester off.]

[ooc: I liked the Lane scene too. And I liked the bit with Lorelai at the end. I really want them to reconcile, because it feels weird without them together.

Supposedly Jess is showing up in an episode in the near future, and according to spoilers, what he does might help get her back in school. Which makes me hapy, because I'm really tired of this Rory.]

"Oh right, the committee. I'm supposed to be on that, but I haven't actually made it to a meeting yet - oops." *shrugs sheepishly* "Well, hey - when you know your schedule, let me know and we can plan something a little more definite. Sound good?
