Yearbook Meeting



WELCOME TO THE FANDOM HIGH YEARBOOK
Please help yourself to some coffee, and have a seat. Your editor-in-chief will meet with you personally to discuss why you want to be on yearbook, and specifically what department/position you might be interested in.

Please be patient, and keep things down, as said EIC has suffered a head injury recently, and is recovering.

Rory sits on a table, watching people come in. She has a cup of coffee, though it's significantly larger than the ones on the table, and keeps absently touching the bandage on her forehead.

After Huntzberger leaves (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhigh/175838.html?thread=7079902#t7079902), Rory finally notices the other people in the room. She sees a dark girl talking to Veronica - one of Phoebe's sisters, she suspects - and gently taps her on the shoulder.

"When you get a minute, I'd love to talk to you," she says, trying valiantly for a smile.

"All righty," Rory says, sitting down next to her. "First of all, I'm Rory - I think I met you briefly during the zombie madness," she says, extending a hand. "What were you interested in doing for the yearbook?"

"We're also in Interperonal Comm together," Piper added, accepting Rory's hand. "I'm Piper. I have to be honest, I don't have much experience with this sort of thing. I saw your flyer and it mentioned OCD freaks. That describes me pretty well. I am very good at keeping things in order."

Rory grins, and regrets it, gingerly fingering her bandage. "I don't know how I missed you in Comm," she says thoughtfully. "Of course, I've been a bit distracted with horrible, obnoxious, self-absorbed jerks in there lately, who don't care about anyone else and how their actions..."

She realizes she had been speaking a loud, and blushes. "Anyway - yes, OCD is lovely for layout. You would be organizing the way the captions coordinate with the photos, primarily. Sound good?"

Piper nodded sympathetically at Rory. "Believe me, I know the feeling very well."

She turns her attention to the yearbook conversation. "That sounds perfect."

Rory gives a slight chuckle. "One of my favorite perks, too. You'll be working with Elizabeth Swann and Sonia Belmont...neither of whom are here. They'd be your co-editors. That guy," she says, pointing to [livejournal.com profile] harried_potter, "would be working under you. And you'd hold authority over anyone who's not an editor themselves."
