It was Danger Shop time again.

Except Kerrigan wasn't wearing any armor.

That would've been the first tip-off right there.

"Thanks to certain students in this class," she said, crossing her arms, "We have a slight change in the curriculum today. We are going to be concerned with diplomacy and its advantages in the field."

She didn't sound like she felt it had any advantages in the field of all places.

"Since I still believe we all learn by doing, that means we're using the sim to place you in a situation where you will have to negotiate yourself out or die. As this class is his particular gift to us, Adama if he is here can go first. And show you all how it's done."

If you thought she was smirking, you thought wrong.

Really.

Since he had to be first, Lee was there, keeping the com link company. It was a mutually exclusive relationship, one born of a bond between plastic and human.

Or, Lee was just bored looking. Still.

And the com suddenly prattled to life, revealing the face of an extremely annoyed-looking military man.

"What the hell are you doing in our line of fire, boy?"

Oh well, at least this wasn't likely to end with wedding bells.

Sokka blinked at the com link. Well, it was always good to be proactive, right? He hit buttons until he was pretty sure he was talking to both commanders at once.

"Greetings, mighty warriors!" he called out in his deepest, strongest voice. "What unfortunate circumstances bring you to this field of battle?"


Heh. "Unfortunate" was a good, diplomatic-type word. He'd've used "lamentable", if he had actually known what it meant.

The Protoss' ego was stroked. "EN TARO ADUN, YOUNG WARRIOR," he declared, "WE ARE HERE TO WIPE OUT THE ZERG THREAT. PLEASE EVACUATE THE PLANET SHORTLY."
