It was Danger Shop time again.

Except Kerrigan wasn't wearing any armor.

That would've been the first tip-off right there.

"Thanks to certain students in this class," she said, crossing her arms, "We have a slight change in the curriculum today. We are going to be concerned with diplomacy and its advantages in the field."

She didn't sound like she felt it had any advantages in the field of all places.

"Since I still believe we all learn by doing, that means we're using the sim to place you in a situation where you will have to negotiate yourself out or die. As this class is his particular gift to us, Adama if he is here can go first. And show you all how it's done."

If you thought she was smirking, you thought wrong.

Really.

The man was momentarily speechless.

"He just told you he's gonna 'clean' our home, d'you have any idea what that means?! We are DEFENDING OURSELVES!"

And now there were Protoss warriors in shiny TK shields appearing on the other horizon.

A Marine came charging in and shot Lee in the head.

Or would have, had the program not stopped but milliseconds before.

Kerrigan was squeezing the bridge of her nose so tightly, you couldn't see if she was disappointed or trying to keep herself from bursting out laughing.

"Wow," she said, when the moment passed, "You really have a talent for getting extraordinarily dead."

"Thank you," he said a little smugly despite the fact that he'd just failed like a failing thing that fails. "Always nice hearing that from you."

She rubbed her forehead. "Try not to trip and fall into anything sharp on your way back, Adama."

"A little rest and relaxation will take care of that headache," Lee said, smiling. "Thanks for the advice, Mom."

Of course, he'd told Ed to do this too but Ed wasn't in this class so he was on his own. In hindsight, he'd shake his head at telling Ed to do something when Ed didn't see her on a weekly basis.

She was trying really hard not to grit her teeth.

"Shut up," Kerrigan said, dismissively and showing as little annoyance as she possibly could, "Before I ground you. Shoo."
