It was Danger Shop time again.

Except Kerrigan wasn't wearing any armor.

That would've been the first tip-off right there.

"Thanks to certain students in this class," she said, crossing her arms, "We have a slight change in the curriculum today. We are going to be concerned with diplomacy and its advantages in the field."

She didn't sound like she felt it had any advantages in the field of all places.

"Since I still believe we all learn by doing, that means we're using the sim to place you in a situation where you will have to negotiate yourself out or die. As this class is his particular gift to us, Adama if he is here can go first. And show you all how it's done."

If you thought she was smirking, you thought wrong.

Really.

Anemone tried her best not to scowl at the angry-thing, and to look very cute and non-threatening. At least it had said please. "What is decontamination, please?"

"Oh." Scourge was not an encouraging word. Neither was decontamination, but maybe that was a translation-error or something. "What does your 'decontamination' entail, if I may ask? So, um, I can remove myself properly." There, that sounded nice.

"Oh. That sounds rather final. Everything anything? Like plants and kittens and birds? That seems a bit extreme. Can't you just, um, squish Zergies?" Anemone brightened considerably. "Which sounds kinda fun. Squishing Zerg, not killing kittens. Killing kittens is wrong. Can I help? With the Zerg, i mean."

"I'm not object to killing Zerg," Anemone pointed out helpfully, "Just kittens. If Zerg are the icky buggy things that the Lieutenant had us fight before, I am all for killing them, they're creepy."

"But if you won't let me play, then give me a ride. I don't have a ship, and I'd rather not be decontaminated, if you don't mind."

The sim blinked off.

Anemone blinked as the sim flickered away. "What's a Terran? Um, does this mean I win? 'Cause I'd rather not be dead, even if it's imaginary-dead."

"Terrans are the people of the Koprulu sector. You look like one." Kerrigan sighed, rubbing one of her eyes with her hand. "And you're alive. It's just every other Terran on that planet isn't."

"Well, if they wanted to be alive, they should have said something rather than sit there like bumps-on-a-log and glare at me." Anemone did manage to look slightly sheepish. She really didn't care too much about a bunch of humans too stupid to try and save themselves. "Um, whoops? Sorry, sir."
