Detention - The Danger Shop (January 27)

"You're all here because you're bad, bad little children." He looked at Deadpool. "And bad, bad little masked professors." He looked at the lottery winners. "Or because you have bad luck. Whatever. Shut up and get in the maze." He pointed to the rest of the Danger Shop, which was set up as a giant hedged labyrinth. "Leave any weapons you shouldn't have anyway over there," he looked pointedly at one or two of the detainees. No, just one really. "Take a packed lunch." He pointed to the bags. "You're gonna need it. Get in there, complete the four tasks along the way and get the prize off the thing guarding it. Or you could sit there and look like a girl and get detention again next week."

Billy shrugged and headed into the maze. If anyone wanted to team up once they were in, that would be fine with him.

Blair was totally excited about going into the maze, mostly because he had checked out the roster and figured that there was no possibility of having to flirt with Seely this week.

Molly took a deep breath and entered the maze. She was okay with mazes on paper, but she'd never done one in real life like this. She really hoped she didn't get lost.

Task 1: Slay the Nemean Lion

Hades' memory of the 12 labors of Hercules was a little...skewed. Instead of facing a lion, you find yourself face to paw with a giant gray stripey kitten.

The kitten blinks at you. "Mew?"

Defeat the kitty.

Anything that big can't be good. Zuko doesn't wait for a second mew as he blasts some fire at the bearded cat sans beard's paws to keep it back.

Task 2: Deal With the Gods

With the kitten long behind you, you make your way through the maze to a new clearing. The plaque on the ground says 'Shut him up or he'll talk you to death.'

There doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary, at least until you hear a voice just behind you. "Whatcha doing?" If you turn, there's nothing there. Then the voice asks again, "Whatcha doing now?" This time, if you turn there's a wiry Greek god fluttering just above you.

"There you are! I'm Apollo. 'Sup?"

LUNCH

After getting Apollo to shut up, it's time for lunch. Hades calls it loud enough for everyone to hear. You can take a break now. Your little packed lunch is in a brown paper bag. There's meat, fruit, lots of feta cheese and something to drink. Visitors welcome, if they can find you.

Blair took a seat on the ground and opened the bag, taking out some fruit. He wasn't sure if River and her cookie delivery would make it today.

Task 3: OH NOES HYDRA!

Back into action, no rest for the wicked, all that jazz. Oh look. There's a hydra. It doesn't look as bad as the stories say. Well, okay, it looks bad, but it only has three heads and as long as you don't try to cut any off, you'll be fine. Maybe. Maybe it's a better idea to find another way to placate the hydra.

Um, run? Play with it? Give it something to distract it?

Task 4: Grand Finale - Minotaur!

When you finally reach the center of the maze, you find yourself face to face with a big minotaur. That is, a hulking man with the head and feet of a bull. He looks pretty peeved that you woke him up. He's guarding a gold statue that looks like an Oscar, but has the head of Hades.

Avert your eyes, children! He's nekkid. And ugly. But probably misunderstood.

Figure out a way to get the minotaur to give you the statue. Or just defeat him. Whatever.

Once you get your hands on that statue, you find yourself back outside the labyrinth. "Yeah, yeah," says Hades, who's disgruntled that you got out on time. "Go on, get outta here."

I have to do that sleep thing until about 6pm EST (stupid time zones). But you are more than welcome to mod everything here. I will play the roles of the opponents when I'm awake. Nothing in here can hurt you really bad, and nothing *has* to be fought (but the violent types can go for it!). Try bribing, tricking, playing with and negotiating. If you have to, try to do at least one and handwave the rest.
