Janet opens up the library after the omg, posted late, noes! Criminal Justice final. She flips on the lights, goes behind the Collections Desk, and starts silently cursing the stupid little gray aliens that sent her back to high school, finals, the whole concept of papers and the grading system in place in the United States today.

She scrawls out a sign on a piece of paper and posts it on the door:

PLEASE TURN IN YOUR OVERDUE LIBRARY BOOKS
BEFORE THE END OF THE TERM

(OR WE'LL SEND ZERO AFTER YOU
WITH HER MALLET)

"Morning, Janet," Sam said. "Sorry I missed you yesterday, but I was up most of Tuesday night working on the wormhole stuff and just crashed after that."

She checked to make sure Liz wasn't anywhere around, then took a bite of the banana she pulled out of her bookbag. "What'd I miss?"

"I managed to talk Aeryn into painting her nails," said Janet. "Vala brought cookies and chocolate cake, and Bridge stopped by to confuse Aeryn with the concept of Jell-O. You never know, you might get her liking the blue stuff if you bring her some." She frowned. "Angel was acting weird yesterday. Can he even be hypnotized by Crazy Squid Lady? Other than that, not much."

From his usual position, Marty makes note of Sam and Janet talking. From a casual position, he tries to make note of any tell-tale signs of people who have stolen jewelry for a living or have made a habit of shoplifiting toys."

Lee comes in looking tired and cranky. He sits in a corner and reads sullenly although is thoroughly sans banthabell

John sneaks into the library and tries to hide behind some shelves. Hiding is good today because he has no idea if Aeryn told anyone anything about what he'd done.

So, hiding.

Janet gave John a confused look, but then shrugged. She had at least twenty biology books that she'd dragged back to the library this morning, and she wanted to check them all in and get them reshelved. He'd come and talk if he wanted to.

Since study hall wasn't open yet, Bel wandered into the library to go over his biology notes and to work on Plan B for desouling Angel. He took note of the sign about overdue books and remembered he still had the book from Special Collections. Originally he'd held on to it so it couldn't be used against Angelus. No point in that now, but there were some useful passages about soul binding he'd have to copy before he brought it back.

Janet really wished there was a way to keep the evil people out of the library. Or maybe just Belthazor. On the other hand, he'd gone searching for his girlfriend's missing kittens, so maybe there was hope for him yet.

Sometime after John had finally set him free, Angel managed to scrape together enough stupidity dignity to come by the library.

He did a very good imitation of trying to be invisible. Or at least as good as an over six-foot, broad-shouldered, wearing nothing but black vampire could do. Which is to say not at all.

Bel saw Angel enter the library and sank down in his seat a little.

Angela walks into the library and goes to work shelving returns.

She keeps one eye out for Dr. Pierson, hoping she can nab him for her newspaper project.

Marty drops by Angela on his way to study and gives her a quick kiss.

"Hey, I sorry I didn't catch up with you yesterday. I got your message, though."

Having set up the faculty lounge and possible tested a few of the kegs to make sure that they were of good enough quality to share with his fellow teachers, Methos enters the library. "Morning, Angela. How are finals going?"

Marty slips quietly into the library and takes his usual position at the study table.

"Hey. Did you catch up to Angel yesterday? Everywhere I went, he'd just left," Parker said, shelving a couple books.

On his way out of the library, Angel spotted Marty.

He paused.

Rory wandered in, looking (and feeling) a bit more chipper than the past few days.

Parker came in, tired but happy, wearing her new necklace and oh my god so glad Finals are over I can't tell you.

"Keep your fingers crossed, maybe we'll have cause by tomorrow." Parker stamped a book in, then smiled. "Although I'm telling you now that I'm selling tickets if you go after Belthazor."
