How to Survive Your Own Cooking [Class 4]

"The business of the day is stew," Lulu began. "Most stews are thickened with flour, or occasionally corn starch; this recipe is one I prefer, in which the barley, and to a lesser extent the rice and lentils, thicken the stew on their own. Stews usually take much longer to make than would be available in a class period -- so, instead, thanks to some interesting functions I found here in the home ec lab la la handwavy Fandom magic la la, each cooking phase, which normally takes 25 minutes for this particular recipe, will instead take only 7. This should give you plenty of time to complete the stew during this class period."

Lulu went over the recipe, explaining what each of the different terms -- such as 'simmer' -- meant. "Also," she said, "you will be making biscuits to go along with the stew. Everything you need is available at your stations. Please, pair up -- again, with a new partner, someone you haven't yet worked with -- and go to your stations."

[Plz to be waiting for OCD is up!]

Jenny paled noticeably. They had to bake?

Cassandra was looking around for a partner who could help her burn down the school make some delicious stew and biscuits.

Demyx eyed Cassandra warily. She was a girl. Girls had to be better at this stuff than him. Right? If not, he was a convenient water-type.

"Uh...hi?"

Mikey's mun has zero availability until way past late tonight stood there, staring in puzzlement at the stew ingredients.

The world was going to end. He knew it.

Liir was confused right back.

"You've never done a stew?"

Is totally good with later tonight for great SP!

After looking over the ingredients with perhaps a little bit of a rumble in his stomach, Chad glanced around for someone who might want to partner up with him this time.
ashockingbitch: (Jenny possibly stoned)

Jenny decided the really big guy looked like a possibility. "Wanna?" she asked him.

Makoto glanced around hopefully. This didn't sound to hard, right? Even if he'd still mess it up.

Harry thought it sounded like a lot of work. So a partner would be good.

"Need a partner?"

Tamaki felt incredibly just a little bit daunted. Stew was definitely not in the same league as commoner ramen. What was a handsome prince-type with no culinary knowledge whatsoever supposed to do?!

Blanching, he looked about frantically for someone who looked capable.

Demyx looked nervously over at Cassandra (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/1671878.html?thread=102430150#t102430150), hoping she knew what they were supposed to be doing. "So. Uh. Throw stuff in a pot and put it on heat? I can do that. I think. Probably." This called for serious note-consulting.

"Water first," she nodded.

Huh... this teaching stuff was easy.

Harry eyed the stovetop a little warily, then turned to Makato. "So should we start the stuff boiling and chop while we wait?"
