"Most stews are thickened with flour, or occasionally corn starch; this recipe is one I prefer, in which the barley, and to a lesser extent the rice and lentils, thicken the stew on their own. This should give you plenty of time to complete the stew during this class period."

Lulu went over the recipe, explaining what each of the different terms -- such as 'simmer' -- meant. "Also," she said, "you will be making biscuits to go along with the stew. Everything you need is available at your stations. Please, pair up -- again, with a new partner, someone you haven't yet worked with -- and go to your stations."

Tamaki felt incredibly just a little bit daunted. Stew was definitely not in the same league as commoner ramen. What was a handsome prince-type with no culinary knowledge whatsoever supposed to do?!
