Library [11/19]

Sam had very fond memories of working in the library during high school. When he remembered it was Monday, the day he'd usually had his shift, he headed down to the library and situated himself behind the desk with a small stack of books, and a look that dared anyone to try to get him to leave.

Sam had promised Bobby he'd have research done for him today, and he was nothing if not a man of his word.

"I didn't think it was possible for you to get any taller, but apparently I was wrong." Whether he was actually taller than before was irrelevant to Thursday.

Meg was still an early riser after all these years, even after the fact that she hadn't gotten much sleep last night thanks to Johnny. She couldn't pass up the chance to visit the library again.

"Wow. Talk about things never changing." she said as she walked in.

Sam spent most of this period looking through a second book for more researchy information.

Evelyn just had to check and see if this place was like she remembered it too.

It wasn't. It was bigger. "Good... God." So was one of the library aides, and Evelyn caught herself staring. "Sam Winchester?"

Sam glanced up at the sound of his name, and studied the woman for a few moments before smiling. "It's Evie, right?"

"Evelyn, but lord, it's good to hear that name again. Only Jonathan calls me that now," Evelyn said, laughing. "How are you? I half expected to hear that you and your brother had died stopping some apocalypse or other. It's good to see that you might make old bones yet."

The library was closed while Sam was checking out Religion class.

Lunch [11/19]

The library was technically closed for lunch, but Sam wouldn't stop anyone who wanted to come in today.

Dean wasn't surprised to find his brother doing his library shift, even though Sammy thought it was 20 years later. He grinned as he came in and dropped into the seat across from him. "Guess some things never change, huh?" he said, tossing Sammy the bag of sandwiches he'd brought with him.

Sam caught the bag and grinned at Dean. "The need for a quiet place to do research never goes away," he said. "I'm glad you came by, I was just starting to think about lunch."

Getting back to his research, Sam started cross-referencing between the different books.

Peter came in at his usual time. After what had happened with Andrew the night before it was possible Peter shouldn't have been as surprised as he was. Still, he had to check. "Sam?"

After his encounter with Dean, Sam shouldn't have been surprised either, but he couldn't keep from staring. "Peter? Uh, hi."

Sam was checking to make sure he wasn't accidentally leaving anything behind now that the school day was over.

Heee! I think the school district figures that everyone will take off Wednesday anyway (students *and* teachers) so rather than having half a day of school, they just give us the whole day off.

You should be here in NJ. The governor has decided that all state workers WILL work on Friday. Needless to say? He's not a popular man.
