Veronica had handwavy sent an email and hung some signs so students would know to meet in the Journalism classroom. She had a spread of bagels and muffins from J,GOB along with plenty of coffee and tea.

"Welcome to Photography," she said once everyone had arrived. "Help yourself to coffee and baked goods," she added as she began passing out a Basics of Photography handout along with a syllabus.

"For those of you that don't know me, I'm Veronica Mars. You can call me Veronica. I'm a recent graduate of Fandom High, but I've been an amateur photographer for a long time. So you know, the rest of our workshops could get a little messy with developing photos, so please don't wear good clothes."

She smiled. "Today's going to be an easy day. We're going to go over the syllabus and the basics of photography. I'd like to start by having you all introduce yourselves and tell me why you signed up for this workshop. Additionally, if you have your own non-digital camera that you'd like to use, please let me make sure it's appropriate. If you don't have a camera, you can borrow one from the school."

"Okay, so it can be any interpretation we'd like - but would you prefer it's something that doesn't need explanation? Or can it really be anything that resonates with us as 'blue', for example?"

Marty holds up his small spy camera that would fit into a pocket and be used to photograph documents in low level light. "Somehow I don't think this is the kind of camera you were talking about."

Okay - so -

1. My availability today -- I think I'm being dragged to a work-related dinner in Baltimore after work. This means I'll likely be offline from 4ish EST until possibly 9 or 10 EST. I don't know details yet, but I may be slow catching replies. I'm more than willing to slow play into tomorrow if need be.

2. I forgot to talk to emo_padawan about when is convenient for both of us to do the DC trip. More info forthcoming.

3. I'm hoping to do another arrangement with stargazer_ellie for the Night Photography session that will allow you guys to attend the Astronomy workshop, but, again, in my slackitude, I forgot to check.

4. Finally - I took exactly one photography class in college (like 7 years ago) and thus all technical stuff is so very handwaved!
