Veronica had ~~handwavy~~ sent an email and hung some signs so students would know to meet in the Journalism classroom. She had a spread of bagels and muffins from J,GOB along with plenty of coffee and tea.

"Welcome to Photography," she said once everyone had arrived. "Help yourself to coffee and baked goods," she added as she began passing out a Basics of Photography handout along with a syllabus.

"For those of you that don't know me, I'm Veronica Mars. You can call me Veronica. I'm a recent graduate of Fandom High, but I've been an amateur photographer for a long time. So you know, the rest of our workshops could get a little messy with developing photos, so please don't wear good clothes."

She smiled. "Today's going to be an easy day. We're going to go over the syllabus and the basics of photography. I'd like to start by having you all introduce yourselves and tell me why you signed up for this workshop. Additionally, if you have your own non-digital camera that you'd like to use, please let me make sure it's appropriate. If you don't have a camera, you can borrow one from the school."

"You see?" Archie laughed as he filled out the forms. "I knew the instructor wouldn't let me off easy."

"I can't play favorites," Veronica grinned. "I may, however, be available for private instruction."

"Oh, now that's unfair to the rest of the class, isn't it?" asked Archie, still grinning. "But I won't tell if you won't."

"Hey, if any of them ask for additional help, I'll be glad to provide it," Veronica said.

"Oh, good. I feel better about that." This time Archie did pull out his phone and fiddle with it.

"And that's how you get to llama school!"/

"I didn't think I could get away with using this for the class, after all," he added.

Veronica chuckled. "Not quite," she said. "And you know, you could probably download some RENT songs for ringtones," she added.

"But I like the llama school song," Archie said, in a voice very much like his five-year-old self.

"Well, if that makes you happy, then go for it," Veronica said, clearly amused.

"Sometimes it doesn't take much," Archie informed her, his eyes twinkling.

"I know what you mean," Veronica replied.

Archie grinned. "Are you saying I'm easy?"

Veronica laughed. "No, I'm not. And boy, I hope there are no shrubs listening to this conversation, because it could be wildly misconstrued."

"In all the worst possible ways," Archie replied, not looking exactly repentant.

"Then again, I guess they couldn't say anything worse than has already been said."

"Did you leave anything of Bel big enough for me to hit with a belaying pin?"

"Yeah, I just thwapped him in the head and made him promise to owe me a favor," Veronica said. "Apparently I'm getting soft in my old age."

Archie grinned. "Can I hit him with a belaying pin, then? And get extra credit if I figure out a way to work the results into the assignment somehow?"

"As long as you don't become toast in the process, I think that can be arranged," Veronica replied.

"Would you prefer me non-crispy?" he asked innocently.

Veronica cringed slightly at the joke, but realized that Archie didn't know the specifics of what happened to her in the past.

"Yeah, I would," she said.

"Good. I'll try and stay that way," Archie promised. "So I suppose he's safe from the belaying pin, this time."

"If he does it again, you can do whatever you like to him," Veronica said.

Archie considered for a moment. "I think I'd really just rather he didn't do it again."

"Me too," Veronica agreed.
