Veronica had ~~handwavy~~ sent an email and hung some signs so students would know to meet in the Journalism classroom. She had a spread of bagels and muffins from J,GOB along with plenty of coffee and tea.

"Welcome to Photography," she said once everyone had arrived. "Help yourself to coffee and baked goods," she added as she began passing out a Basics of Photography handout along with a syllabus.

"For those of you that don't know me, I'm Veronica Mars. You can call me Veronica. I'm a recent graduate of Fandom High, but I've been an amateur photographer for a long time. So you know, the rest of our workshops could get a little messy with developing photos, so please don't wear good clothes."

She smiled. "Today's going to be an easy day. We're going to go over the syllabus and the basics of photography. I'd like to start by having you all introduce yourselves and tell me why you signed up for this workshop. Additionally, if you have your own non-digital camera that you'd like to use, please let me make sure it's appropriate. If you don't have a camera, you can borrow one from the school."

Veronica got up and gave Angela a big hug before handing her the paperwork. "I'm so sorry I didn't see you sooner," she apologized. "I was out of town this weekend and things have been crazy the last few days. How are you? You look great!"

Angela hugged Veronica back. "Not a big deal," she said. "I've been sleeping off jet lag and moving to the cabins. And I'm really, really good. Happy to be home. How was your trip?"

"It was nice, though definitely not long enough," Veronica replied. "I had coffee with Marty the other day and he gave me my birthday present."

"I didn't even know your birthday was coming up," Angela said. "What did he give you?"

[OOC: If he said it was from him and Angela, she has amnesia on this point.]

"It's next Sunday," Veronica said. "He gave me vouchers for a trip to Paris."

[ooc: no, he didn't, but V would have assumed that Angela knew about it.]

Angela looked startled for a minute, then grinned hugely. "Yeah, he forgot to mention that to me," she said. "It's way better than anything I would have got you on my own, though. My budget's more at the mix CD level."

"Paris is amazing. You'll love it. When are you going to go?"

"I was shocked," Veronica admitted. "And I think we're going at the end of the summer," she said.

"A break before you start college? That sounds really nice." Angela played with a strand of hair. "Where are you going, anyhow?"

"Hearst," Veronica said. "It's in Neptune. I never thought I'd go back there, but they offered me a full scholarship."

She paused, biting her lip. "And I assume you heard about Logan's dad, which means it should be safe for me there."

"I might have heard something about that," Angela said, reluctantly. "I wasn't paying much attention to the news, but it was sort of everywhere."

"I'll miss you, though. All the way on the west coast."

"I know, I'll miss you guys, too," Veronica said. "But there's email and phone calls and visits."

"Won't be the same," Angela pouted. "But at least we have two months, right? Almost?"

"Yep, just about," Veronica confirmed. "And we'll have a lot of fun."

"Absolutely," Angela said.

She paused. "Can I take that camera?"," she asked, pointing.

"Oh, yeah, go ahead," Veronica said. "I kind of forgot to give it to you. Sorry."

"It's so not a problem," Angela said. "I just want to make sure I don't take up all your time. See you soon."

"Definitely," Veronica replied with a grin.
