Veronica had ~~handwavy~~ sent an email and hung some signs so students would know to meet in the Journalism classroom. She had a spread of bagels and muffins from J,GOB along with plenty of coffee and tea.

"Welcome to Photography," she said once everyone had arrived. "Help yourself to coffee and baked goods," she added as she began passing out a Basics of Photography handout along with a syllabus.

"For those of you that don't know me, I'm Veronica Mars. You can call me Veronica. I'm a recent graduate of Fandom High, but I've been an amateur photographer for a long time. So you know, the rest of our workshops could get a little messy with developing photos, so please don't wear good clothes."

She smiled. "Today's going to be an easy day. We're going to go over the syllabus and the basics of photography. I'd like to start by having you all introduce yourselves and tell me why you signed up for this workshop. Additionally, if you have your own non-digital camera that you'd like to use, please let me make sure it's appropriate. If you don't have a camera, you can borrow one from the school."

"Hmmm. Shouldn't be too hard, althugh combining them sounds like it would be more fun." Parker frowned. "Any interpretation of 'blue' or 'earth' we want, right?"

"Correct," Veronica said. "As long as it won't get me in trouble with the administration."

Parker grinned wickedly. "Would I do that?" Then she paused. "Okay, we'll skip the disclaimers. I won't get the workshsop teacher in trouble if I can *help* it."

"That's very much appreciated, Parker," Veronica grinned back. "How've you been this summer? I haven't talked to you in ages."

"Good, mostly. I get to watch Jarod teach workshops, which is always amusing. He gets so nervous about whether people will enjoy them. And hanging out with Isabel and Jack a lot, while missing Angela and Zero and your partner in crime. I'm so glad they're finally back."

She made a face. "Could've lived without losing so many shoes to Callisto, though." She grinned. "And the Radio seems to indicate that htings are going well with Archie?"

"I'm glad they're back, too. I would have been sad if I hadn't gotten to spend more time with Marty and Angela before I leave for school."

Veronica shook her head. "Callisto's been acting so odd lately. I wish I could do something to help her."

And then she grinned. "Things are going well with Archie, though Bel's lucky he's still walking after Friday night."

"He *so* is. Have you whapped him upside the head yet? Willow and Marie were sure on a tear." Parker rolled her eyes. "On the Callisto front-- yeah. I, um, did something. Which may or may not help, but at least Call might feel like someone tried to make her feel better."

"Of course I have. Marie and Willow are on my list, too, but I haven't run into either of them yet," Veronica said.

She raised an eyebrow. "What did you do?"

Parker grinned. "Sorry I missed it. Although I'd love to get photos of you dealing with Marie and Willow." Then she rolled her eyes. "Sent Logan a ticket to Vegas." She paused. "One-way."

"Wow," Veronica said slowly. "Does she actually think..." she trailed off, not sure if Parker knew about Angel's crush.

Parker raised her eyebrows. "She's nuts. But above everything else, she thinks that Logan is there, and she is not. And someone is not taking seriously how much that pisses her off. I figured that if Logan's away for a weekend, it'll at least give her a chance to chill. And someone else a chance to think about it." She shrugged. "Logan can earn his own way back. Or trade the ticket in and fly economy." She grinned. "Heh."

Veronica chuckled at that.

"I guess I understand why she's mad, but, I don't know, it kind of made me feel better to know neither was of them was out there alone. God knows neither of them can really take care of himself, after all."

"Oh, you're so right. I mean, half the reason I didn't give Angel a harder time about Logan staying was that he was dealing with the phones, and the e-mail, and all the crap that you just *know* Angel would've messed up in a week without him." She grimaced. "It's been two months, though. Am I the only one that thinks Logan's never gonna leave unless he's kicked out?"

"From what I've heard, it seems like they have a good working relationship," Veronica said. "And Angel said Logan is actually working, which, well, I think is probably good for him."

She shrugged. "And with everything he's gone through, I think it's good for him to know there's someone he can actually count on."

"You know him better than I do, but I guess that makes sense." Parker made a face. "And Angel's teaching him swordwork, or said he was going to, so it's not like he's helpless. It just--" She bit her lip, not about to mention the man-crush. "Seems like a recipe for chaos, sometimes. I wish they had a keeper."

"Not it," Veronica said automatically. "I know what you mean though."

Parker snickered. "I can't it either. I set them up with an accountant--" and a lot of paperwork that kept them solvent, "--but that's it." She shook her head. "So, if I took a picture of Archie in blue, would I get extra credit?"

"At least they have a lot of people checking up on them on a fairly regular basis," Veronica said. "I'm hoping to get out there for a visit soon."

She chuckled. "Maybe if it was a really cute picture."

"Cool." Parker smiled, then looked thoughtful. "Do you think you can write passes into Special Collections? I just had an idea for a photo, but I'd rather shoot it in there, instead of the Library itself."

"Oh, I hadn't thought about it, but I guess I can," Veronica said. "And I know you're smart enough not to get yourself in trouble."

She grabbed a tablet and scribbled a note giving Parker permission to enter Special Collections for a photography assignment and handed it to her.

"Don't get eaten or lost or attacked, please."

Parker grinned. "I'll get good pictures of it if I do. I swear."

Veronica merely shook her head.
