The Library, February 22

Zero opens the library and heads for her customary station behind the desk. She doesn't seem to have any trashy romance novels about today, so she should be helpful, if you need help. The library is open, people!

Zero is reading a book on the Dewey Decimal System, since she's been working in the library for over a semester now and she still doesn't really get it.

Logan brought in the book he'd checked out yesterday. He raised his eyebrows when he saw who was working at the desk. "Hold the mallet. I'm returning something," Logan said. He stood a few feet from the library desk and held up the book.

"I only use the mallet when y'don't return something." Zero set down her book with something like relief. "Right. Let's see it."

Logan took a few cautious steps forward and set the book down on the desk.

One of Zero's eyebrows shot up. "This is a Special Collections book."

Angela is still there, but she's gone to sort through the periodicals while Logan is returning his book. She vaguely waves to him, then goes back to trying to figure out why the library's issues of Composure keep disappearing.

After Sociology, Peter decided to head to the library and study a bit for his fourth period Government class. Sure, he was now ahead in his reading, but he's a big nerd who does extra studying.

When he walked in, he decided to stop by the desk and say hi to the library aides. "Good morning. What's going on in the wonderful world of book lending today?"

Zero smiled at Peter. "Not much. There was a wee drama with a Special Collections book. How've you been?"

"Anything you needed to break out the mallet for?" Peter asked with a grin.

"I'm pretty good. The day starts too early and I'm worried about Skeeter's class after reading the paper this morning, but otherwise, things are well."

"Yeah, I saw the paper. I don' think Chloe's long for this world. Bless."

"No, I think Chloe will still be around for a while. John's still alive, after all. It's just that she might look like a squirrel or a sock or something."

Parker came in and decided to get a copy of Midsummer Night's Dream out, just to see if she'd really need to highlight it, or if a school copy of the mess would work instead. "Hey. Congratulations, Puck. Thou varlet."

"Pffftt. Yeah, that's gonna happen any time soon." Parker pouted. "I can't believe I got sucked into this. Rory is so hearing from me as soon as she shows her face."

Parker glared. "Exactly, the 'thing' with the donkey. Gahhh. Flinky? Watch me flink." She crossed her arms. "Although watching you hench around for Lee Adama might make up for some of that. Heh."

"It's just Xander," Rory said. And then her eyes went very wide. "Unless Xander gets sick or something. Then it's just, um, Anakin." She shook her head. "In any case, it's just going to be an ass's head. And you're queen."
