The Library, February 22

Zero opens the library and heads for her customary station behind the desk. She doesn't seem to have any trashy romance novels about today, so she should be helpful, if you need help. The library is open, people!

Logan brought in the book he'd checked out yesterday. He raised his eyebrows when he saw who was working at the desk. "Hold the mallet. I'm returning something," Logan said. He stood a few feet from the library desk and held up the book.

"I only use the mallet when y'don't return something." Zero set down her book with something like relief. "Right. Let's see it."

Logan took a few cautious steps forward and set the book down on the desk.

One of Zero's eyebrows shot up. "This is a Special Collections book."

"I had a note."

"The note gets you into Special Collections; it's not supposed to get the books out of it. There's a rule, like. Or there was with Professor Pierson. I don't know what the orangutan's rules are, I don' speak ape." Zero sighed. "Well, no harm no foul, I s'pose."

"The important thing here is that the book is safe," Logan said in an overly serious tone.

"Yes, but the book should never have--never mind."

Logan gave Zero a pat on the shoulder. [Tag!] "The book didn't mind. I think it liked getting out in the fresh air."

"If the book told you that, we've got problems," Zero said, but she sounded like she was joking. Probably. "I'll reshelve it in a little bit. I can't check it back in because it's not supposed t' be check-out-able, but...yeah. Got it covered."

"Thanks," he said. He gave her a small wave and left the library.

Rory raised an eyebrow at Logan as she passed by him, entering.
