The Library, February 22

Zero opens the library and heads for her customary station behind the desk. She doesn't seem to have any trashy romance novels about today, so she should be helpful, if you need help. The library is open, people!

Zero's awake. Really. Well, her eyes are open, anyway, so it's a start.

Second Period

Zero has received a caffeine infusion and is now fully conscious. Yay!

Angela waved as she came in, looking ... well, cheerful-ish, or as cheerful as can be expected on a gray day that starts with math.

"Hey, Zero. COngrats on the play thing."

Angela grinned. "Parker wanted to try to get him in a kilt. I suggested leather pants."

Third Period

Zero is reading a book on the Dewey Decimal System, since she's been working in the library for over a semester now and she still doesn't really get it.

Logan brought in the book he'd checked out yesterday. He raised his eyebrows when he saw who was working at the desk. "Hold the mallet. I'm returning something," Logan said. He stood a few feet from the library desk and held up the book.

"I only use the mallet when y'don't return something." Zero set down her book with something like relief. "Right. Let's see it."

Logan took a few cautious steps forward and set the book down on the desk.

Angela is still there, but she's gone to sort through the periodicals while Logan is returning his book. She vaguely waves to him, then goes back to trying to figure out why the library's issues of Composure keep disappearing.

[OOC: Player isn't up to starting to play out Logan's plot today, sorry.]

After Sociology, Peter decided to head to the library and study a bit for his fourth period Government class. Sure, he was now ahead in his reading, but he's a big nerd who does extra studying.

When he walked in, he decided to stop by the desk and say hi to the library aides. "Good morning. What's going on in the wonderful world of book lending today?"

Zero smiled at Peter. "Not much. There was a wee drama with a Special Collections book. How've you been?"

"Anything you needed to break out the mallet for?" Peter asked with a grin.

"I'm pretty good. The day starts too early and I'm worried about Skeeter's class after reading the paper this morning, but otherwise, things are well."

Parker came in and decided to get a copy of Midsummer Night's Dream out, just to see if she'd really need to highlight it, or if a school copy of the mess would work instead. "Hey. Congratulations, Puck. Thou varlet."

Fourth Period

Zero has given up on the Dewey Decimal book and tossed it at the wall. After a few minutes, she grumbles something under her breath and goes to retrieve it and put it in its rightful place.

Lunch

The library is closed so the library minions can eat their lunch in peace. And possibly try to track down the orangutan librarian.

Fifth Period

Zero is behind the desk again, reading the first trade paperback of Conclusive Z-People, a sort of reboot of Abnormal Z-People by Amazing Comics.

Sixth Period

Zero is bored. Entertain her?

Seventh Period

Zero is tidying up in preparation for the end of the day, reshelving things and organizing the chairs the way the Library seems to like it.
