The Library, February 22

Zero opens the library and heads for her customary station behind the desk. She doesn't seem to have any trashy romance novels about today, so she should be helpful, if you need help. The library is open, people!

"He has such nice arms, and Puck is such a thorough henchperson. His arms might need, say...petting."

"They might get lonely if they're not petted," Parker said very seriously. "Since he's not getting any from Titania. At least until the end of the play." She smirked. "What happens behind the scenes... stays behind the scenes."

Angela finally finished with the magazines and walked over to Parker and Zero. "'Lo, Parker. Hey, have either of you guys seen the Librarian lately? Rory and I feel like it's been a couple weeks. We should probably, like, tell someone if he's gone."

Parker frowned. "Hell, I don't think I've seen him since the week he took over, except for one or two glimpses back in the stacks. And yeah, if he's gone the way of Professor Gandalf, we should at least let someone know. Dean Zordan, or no, Dean Washburn, I'm guessing."

Angela nodded, looking a little worried. "Rory thought Dean Washburn. She said she seemed like she'd be good in a crisis."

"And yeah, the monkey-dude didn't have a hugely hands-on management style. But it's still weird to have no boss at all."

"At least Dr. Pierson was there to fob off people we didn't want to deal with," Parker agreed. "And I've talked to Dean Washburn, she's the Gun Club sponsor now. She seemed like she'd be good at coping with a problem like this. If I'm not in class when you guys go talk to her, call me and I'll go with you. Were you thinking of doing this tomorrow?"

Angela shrugged. "I hadn't really planned when to do this, but tomorrow's probably good. I don't have any classes until seventh. What's your day like?"

"Same schedule as Rory, really-- ACJ and Political Campaigning, then Medieval England with Zero. So second and third, or fifth or seventh are all good." She looked speculative. "They won't make Dr. Pierson take it again, I'm guessing. He's got two classes. They'll have to get someone new, if it turns out the Librarian did just wander off."

"You wouldn't think he'd be able to get that far," Angela said. "Maybe Special Collections got him?"

She tilted her head to one side, considering. "I think Janet and Zero have classes second and third. Want to say fifth for now? I think better after lunch anyhow."

[OOC: I looked at all of our schedules and it looks like fifth period is the one time we're all free. Of course, that's without considering RL stuff.]

"If Special Collections got him, we'll be lucky if we find a salamander. Or a small stuffed orangutan."

"Fifth works. And yeah, we're more likely to catch the Dean around lunchtime, I'd think." Parker shook her head. "They have the hardest time keeping a Librarian, and all of us have stayed. And increased, with you and rory. What's that about?"

"Clearly, the aides are much more awesome than the librarian," Angela smiled. "And if we find a stufed orangutan, I call dibs."

"Y'know, the Library isn' actin' weird like it was when he first got here any more. I thought it'd just settled down, but maybe he really is gone.

"An' if we find a stuffed orangutan, you can totally have it, Angela."

"That would totally make up for not getting paid," Angela said with a smile that grew more thoughtful as she spoke. "Though it'd be kind of creepy to have a miniaturized librarian sitting on my bed."

"At least he wouldn' be aware. Probably."
