Lee settles in, reading about the history of sports superstars and their torrid affairs.

Belthazor hit the library early in the morning, picking out a few books and settling at a table in a corner to take some notes.

Angela enters the library and cautiously approaches the librarian.

"Dr. Pierson? I'm Angela. Parker said we could, um, start my assistant training today?"

Methos looks up, bleary-eyed. "Yes. Right. First step of the training, get behind this desk and deal with anyone who wants to talk to me. Trust me, the life you're saving is theirs."

Angela gives Methos a decidedly skeptical look. "Okay, but ... I don't actually know where anything is, or anything. Should I just write stuff down for you, or what?"

Then, she takes the full measure of the librarian. "You know what? I can totally handle it. I think."

"Hey, Angela," says Janet, shoving her backpack under the Collections Desk and sitting down. "You here for training today?"

Draco comes into the library with some books from home to read. Maybe there was some way he could reverse looking like a hideous, orange-haired poor person.

Cameron waits patiently in front of the library doors. Okay, not to patiently and he gets distracted by his own tail more than once. Finally, when his tail sits still and a students opens the doors, Cameron quickly runs through their legs into the library.

Not that he's got any idea what he should do here, but he's kinda bored.

Draco looks over at the dog and remembers the radio broadcast yesterday. Having his own body switcheroo freak out this morning made him sympathetic. He takes out his wand and turns one of his pencils into a tennis ball.

"You wanna play with this Cameron?" he asks

He should be sorta insulted by the offer, but somehow the ball looks really fun. Barking happily, Cameron jumps up and down and wags his tail from side to side eagerly.

Draco has the urge to talk in that cute puppy tone he has but he holds back when he remembers that Cameron was a human being. He waves the ball around for a bit before tossing it towards Cameron for him to fetch.

Janet offers Methos some ibuprofin. "How are you feeling?" she asks quietly.

Methos takes the pain pills. "Like hell," he says, and it's not an exaggeration. "I'm going to retreat into the office and pound my fist into the wall do paperwork." He promptly suits action to words.

"You're voluntarily doing paperwork?" asks Janet. "You really aren't feeling well."

Hey, Janet? Can I, um, talk to you in private?

"Yeah, sure," says Janet. "You okay? The prof's office is occupied. Want to hit the dictionary corner of the stacks? No one ever goes there."

So, um....*Zero tucks her hair behind her ear and glances around before leaning in* I've got a problem an' I don' know what to do.

So, um. I turned into a cat last night, right? An' I went to Parker's room to hide out. I was nappin' under her bed when...oh, hell, Janet.

*whispers* Parker's squallin' so-called boyfriend broke into her room and bugged the place.

"You ready?" Parker asked, raising an eyebrow at Angela. "It can get kind of weird..."

"I can deal with weird," Angela says, twisting her cross necklace. "As long as I stay girl-shaped."

"Hey, I'm here in case that happens, and anyway, the books that do that are all marked. We'll just make sure you don't touch them." Parker unlocks the glass double doors to Special Collections, and then re-locks them after they step through.

The first few rows appear to be modern, nothing all the surprising; metal shelves with dividers reaching the ceiling, and a movable metal staircase parked next to the end.

But if you look farther down the aisle, the shelves vanish in the distance, much farther than the section should be from the outside.

Parker hands Angela a pair of neoprene gloves. "Okay, here's one of the tools you absolutely need: gloves. Some of the materials are fragile, and some are dangerous. Don't fetch *anything* from inside here without these on, okay?"
