BWI Portalocity Terminal [Saturday Morning]

Emma had flown with Angelica from Logan Airport in Boston to Baltimore so she wouldn't have to make the entire trip alone, and Angelica was grateful for that. But after a hug goodbye when the time came for Emma's flight back to Massachusetts, Angelica was alone in the lounge, waiting for the bus to Fandom High. She buried her face in a book and tried not to be too nervous about changing schools, counting out the positives. She might make new friends. Empath and Roulette wouldn't be there. She might accidentally fry someone with her microwave powers.

Oooookay, that last one wasn't too positive.

Reno was having one of those, 'Oh shit, they're seriously letting me do this?' moments. Again. There he was, decked out in his finest Turks dark suit, waiting for students to board the bus. With his feet up on the dash. Somehow making it look good.

They gave Reno the keys, kids.

Yeah, even he wasn't sure how that happened.

Reno gave the girl a little nod and a crooked sort of grin. The sort that made most people back in Edge back away slowly.

Welcome to the bus, Mercy!

"Hey there, kiddo," Reno greeted. "Welcome to the best damn bus ride you're ever gonna take, yo." Because it was likely to mostly occur on two wheels. Prepare to leave finger-dents in the seat. "You been on one of these things before?"

Mercy'd been raised with werewolves, so she wasn't phazed in the slightest. And even if you had been, she wouldn't have let him see. Dealing with werewolves really drilled the whole 'never let 'em see you sweat' instinct into you.

She nodded. "Not often, but once or twice when my mom came to visit. And not in a while."

"The kids so far ain't causin' no trouble, and it ain't like I never drove nothin' before."

"I'm sure you'll get us there with no trouble," Summer nodded, her smile echoing his.

"I doubt they'll cause any problems but just to be safe, I'll keep an eye on them." She highly doubted anything would go down on the way back to Fandom. Then again, better safe than sorry.

Butters took a look at this guy, a careful, narrow-eyed, scrutinizing look before he carefully ventured, with a note of disappointment and certain doom in his voice, "Aww, are you gonna kill us?"

Well, that was kind of par for the course, really. So long as they didn't get stuck somewhere with a monster trying to pick them off one by one while they sat around reminiscing.

"Oh-h, all right, then," said Butters, letting a few people move past him onto the bus before he muttered to a few of them, "Watch it, fellas. I'm pretty sure this guy wants to kill us."

"The gasoline-belchin' self-propelled kind," Reno replied, clearly not bothered by the question, or by the way it was delivered. He'd had a TA that spoke like that. No shock to the system, anymore. "We call it a bus, yo. Fuel it takes is worth its weight in... what's worth a lot around here? Gold? Somethin' like that. An' it shits out worse than a whole friggin' flock of chocobo. But it gets from point A to point B, when it's gotta."

There was a pause, and then he felt compelled to add, "An' if you're sittin' in the back, your ass flies about three feet outta the seat whenever we hit a bump goin' real fast, yo."

Angelica slung her carry-on bag over her shoulder and climbed the steps on to the bus, scanning the aisle for an empty seat. "How long is the trip to Fandom?" she asked as she boarded.

"Ain't long at all," Reno replied, grinning a bit. "I managed to find a way to cut a bit of travel time offa the journey, so nobody needs to worry about their asses fallin' asleep in the seats, yo."

Reno's idea of 'a way to cut travel time' was to stomp down on the gas pedal so hard that his foot nearly went through the floor with it.

Brace yourself for this trip, Angelica.

Summer was leaving the driving to Reno. She wasn't sure if that was against her better judgement or not, but she was going with positive thoughts. Only time would tell.

If they needed to switch at any time, Summer would be more than happy to oblige. For now, she'd keep an eye on the new students and answer any questions they might have for her. Next stop, Fandom High
