BWI Portalocity Terminal [Saturday Morning]

Emma had flown with Angelica from Logan Airport in Boston to Baltimore so she wouldn't have to make the entire trip alone, and Angelica was grateful for that. But after a hug goodbye when the time came for Emma's flight back to Massachusetts, Angelica was alone in the lounge, waiting for the bus to Fandom High. She buried her face in a book and tried not to be too nervous about changing schools, counting out the positives. She might make new friends. Empath and Roulette wouldn't be there. She might accidentally fry someone with her microwave powers.

Oooookay, that last one wasn't too positive.

Butters took a look at this guy, a careful, narrow-eyed, scrutinizing look before he carefully ventured, with a note of disappointment and certain doom in his voice, "Aww, are you gonna kill us?"

"Nah, they ain't payin' me enough to do that," Reno replied, about as reassuringly as was Reno-ly possible. "I'm just here to drive you to school, Slick. But I ain't makin' any promises about stayin' on the road on the way there, yo."

It was going to be a bumpy ride.

Well, that was kind of par for the course, really. So long as they didn't get stuck somewhere with a monster trying to pick them off one by one while they sat around reminiscing.

"Oh-h, all right, then," said Butters, letting a few people move past him onto the bus before he muttered to a few of them, "Watch it, fellas. I'm pretty sure this guy wants to kill us."

Oh, this kid was a special one. Reno watched him for a moment, and then nodded inside.

"Farther back you sit, farther from me you are," he noted. Because that would help the kid feel safe, right? "I'm sure there're a few seats left back there, yo."

And then Reno could hit the bumps while going extra fast! Just for Butters!

"And don't sit in the seats in the back," Butters, mostly seeming to ignore the man at the bus, added to the next person. "I...I bet those're the ones he's gonna kill first."

"An' here I am without my stun baton," Reno grumbled, rolling his eyes a little and looking back up toward the ceiling of the bus. "Weird kid, yo."

And lucky Reno, thanks to his little warning, Butters was now taking a seat as close to the driver's seat as he possibly could, where he would be mostly minding his own business a good part of the time. Which meant a lot singing.

"If you leave me now, you take away the biggest part of me. Oo-oo-OOO."

"Ooo-oo-ooo," Reno sighed, glancing over his shoulder at the kid every now and then. "What kinda song is that, anyhow?"

Chicago, Reno. It was Chicago.

"It's one of my favorites, Mr. Killer Guy," Butters happily chirped. "I know a lot of other ones, too! Like this one!"

Which meant breaking out into another song:

"Heeee-elp me, I think I'm fallin' in love with you-oouu, woo-oo--OO--ooh!"

"That's... really somethin'," Reno offered, blinking.

This was going to be an interesting bus ride, wasn't it?

"Never gonna give you up!

Never gonna run around and deeesert you!"

And it was just getting started, Reno.

"Never gonna give! Never gonna give!
GIVE YOU UP!"
