BWI Portalocity Terminal [Saturday Morning]

Emma had flown with Angelica from Logan Airport in Boston to Baltimore so she wouldn't have to make the entire trip alone, and Angelica was grateful for that. But after a hug goodbye when the time came for Emma's flight back to Massachusetts, Angelica was alone in the lounge, waiting for the bus to Fandom High. She buried her face in a book and tried not to be too nervous about changing schools, counting out the positives. She might make new friends. Empath and Roulette wouldn't be there. She might accidentally fry someone with her microwave powers.

Oooookay, that last one wasn't too positive.

"I'm sure you'll get us there with no trouble," Summer nodded, her smile echoing his.

"I doubt they'll cause any problems but just to be safe, I'll keep an eye on them." She highly doubted anything would go down on the way back to Fandom. Then again, better safe than sorry.

"Yeah, lead 'em in a few rounds of 'wheels on the bus' or whatever," laughed Reno. "Maybe explain what a bus is, first, so they don't think we're askin' 'em to ride around inside a dragon, or whatever."

"Let's hope I'm not the only one who knows the words to that," Summer joked. She was an okay singer but she didn't want to torture anyone with the song -- at least not by herself. "Sometimes, I forget how fun this job can be," she chuckled.

"... I wouldn't be surprised if Fandom saw fit to make the bus look like a dragon, now that you said that."

"Not really, no. I'd like to see it myself," Summer admitted. "Plus, it might help ease the new students into Fandom's... unique properties."

Reno thought the Vikings were a pretty good introduction to the place on their own. Plus, they gave away free mead.

The Vikings would serve as a good introduction, wouldn't they? "I just hope they're not too shell shocked when they see the Vikings." Then again, the free mead might help.

"Eh, if they ain't used to that sorta thing, they'll probably think it's some kinda welcome picnic gimmick," Reno reasoned. "Private schools pull all kinds of weird crap to welcome new kids, right?"

"Good point," Summer said. "I hadn't thought about it like that. I have a feeling a lot of them will be thinking that for a while. You know, until the island gets invaded or something." That was always fun.

"Hey, that's the way I kept thinkin' when I was still a student," Reno replied, shrugging a little. "I mean, comin' from a place with monsters helped a bit, but damn, first time I was told about gremlin bites, I thought someone was just tryin' to play me for a schmuck. They'll learn, yo."

"Where I from, the only monsters and strange creatures we have are in the movies," Summer admitted. "So, I was definitely skeptical when I first heard about Fandom's quirks. I had to take photos to prove I wasn't trying to pull one over on anyone back home."

"Yeah, an' photos ain't all that hard to tamper with anyhow," Reno mused. "Not like it mattered to me either way if anyone believed what I was sayin' was goin' on around there. People don't usually believe me about shit like that at the worst of times, yo."

"Yeah, it's no surprise it took my brother much longer to believe me," Summer shook her head, amused. "I don't see any reason why they shouldn't believe you. Granted, my home doesn't have strange occurrences like Fandom, so it makes a little more sense."
