Practical Weaponry [Wednesday, Period Four]

Bond waited outside of the Danger Shop until all of his class had arrived. When they went inside, the room had taken on the appearance of a city devoid of life and eerily silent.

"I do hope you all remembered your zombie plans from our first class," Bond said from the doorway, checking his watch. "Since the zombie apocalypse and your final are both scheduled to start in about five minutes. Anyone who's still alive at the end of the class passes. That is unless you managed to cause the undeath of a classmate in the process, in which case you fail. Have fun."

With that he locked the door of the Danger Shop behind them. A faint groaning could be heard in the distance.

Like you're going to fight the zombie hordes!

Zombie Rules

1. These are variable speed zombies. Their default mode is shuffle and lurch, but they can put on quite a turn of speed if they smell your spicy brains.

2. Destroy the brain, destroy the zombie.

3. You get bit, you become one of the waking undead, and can totally go after your classmates. Speed of infection is about two-four minutes.

4. Zombie vocab consists of groans and various inflections of 'brains'.

The students start out here.

Bits of debris and small fires are scattered along the roads and pavements, along with the rare abandoned car, rusting and missing its wheels.

The mouths of alleyways are dotted along the sides of the streets, and most of the buildings are locked and boarded up.

There's more and larger debris in these, and even some discarded weapons of the fire-axe and baseball bat variety, but most of them are dead ends and those weapons were discarded for a reason.

Some of the buildings didn't have very secure locks, and some didn't have locks (or doors) at all.

As well as the usual things you might expect to find in the average household, thanks to the Second Amendment you'll be able to find pistols and shotguns, as well as ammo for them both.

Of course, if you can get in, other...people might be able to as well.

It's wide grassy, and has a large field of view so you'll be able to see the zombies coming from pretty far off.

Even if you won't have that many places to hide.

Food, guns, clothing. All the things that make the zombie apocalypse survivable.

Which means you probably aren't going to be only ones wanting in.

If you scream loudly enough, he'll probably be able to hear you through the door.

Just try to avoid using the word 'brains'.

All they want to do is eat your brains...

Just remember, you're in the Danger Shop so no-one's actually going to get hurt or turn into a zombie, and Bond is watching to make sure you don't get into too much trouble.

Well, crap. Hannibal vaguely remembered his zombie plan and how it wouldn't have really worked all that well. He'd have to do some improvising.

Tybalt Capulet

Considering that Hinata's plan had been equal to 'find fire' ... she wasn't really sure how this was going to go.

She was pretty sure she couldn't Jyuuken the spleen out of them. Biting her lip, Hinata considered her options.

Brains were the weak point, right?

Guns! Tybalt was going to be needing those!

... He wasn't going to last long, however. He'd never been briefed on the proper zombie apocalypse survival procedures, after all.

And so, should anyone else enter the mall, there was Tybalt. Tybalt the zombie, who would be waxing poetic by standing outside an office area saying, 'All I desire is to sup upon thy brains. I assure thee, t'is not an unreasonable request. I daresay I would not be so crass as to attempt to dine on thine eyes. If thou wilt be so kind as to open the door, then myself and my ilk shall enter, and proceed to eat the delicious matter found within thy skull...'

... If only it didn't come out as a low moan of "braaaaaaaains," instead.

Having dealt with zombies before, Hannibal moved quietly, trying not to jar anything or draw any attention to himself. He really didn't want to see any zombies that weren't the band at the damn bar.

He checked the cars he found, looking for anything good weapon wise and eventually just picked up some debris. Good projectile, at least.

As soon as he heard a scuffling, he ducked behind a boarded up building and waited there in the shadows. God, he hated zombies.

Fantastic. Because the last time Anemone had encountered zombies, it had gone so well.

"Right, so who wants to help me set the town on fire?" He hadn't said no collateral damage...

Having retreated down an alley after hearing and seeing some zombies (and cursing his stupidity at hiding in an alley), Hannibal did pick up a baseball bat. He knew it wouldn't be handy for the most part but it was something and he could at least chuck it at zombies as means of diversion.

He really wished the baseball bat was on fire or something.

Just then, a pair of zombies shuffled past the mouth of the alley, groaning softly.

Dinah Lance

Oh, crap. She'd hated these guys the first time. "Guns and an exit strategy. Right. I wonder if there's any helicopters still working around here..."

*After* all the screaming and shooting and zombification, Dinah kind of staggered over to Mr. Bond.

"Hi. Did I mention I'm really, really sorry I missed last week's class?"
