Library [02/11]

Sam was ~~not at all late omg~~ hoping for a quiet morning as he went in to open the library. He had a lot of research and homework he wanted to get done before the day was through.

Sam made sure all the books that had been returned were checked in on time.

Sam took a few minutes to check his e-mail, and then went right back to his research on possible sightings of the Yellow-Eyed Demon.

Trying to keep himself from getting completely discouraged, Sam took a homework break.

The library was closed for lunch to everyone except the librarian, the other aides, and Dean.

Dean had subs for them today and he dropped the bag on Sammy's desk before taking his usual chair. "So whatcha got your nose in today?"

"Nothing much," Sam said. "Just homework and research. I will gladly set both aside."

"You should take a break from that," Dean advised. "Play some sims, walk your dog, jump your girlfriend..."

"I don't want to play Sims unless I know the librarian won't catch me, I can't leave the library to take Scout for a walk, and I'm not jumping my girlfriend. Not like you define it, at least."

"Ever?"

"Not unless she tells me, 'Hey, by the way, when I come back to the room today, I want you to throw me down on the bed and have your way with me,'" Sam said. "Our sex life doesn't exactly work like that."

"Okay, I'm offended that you think that's my technique."

After lunch, it was right back to the research.

Peter was there with the usual coffee and donuts. "Hey."

"Hey," Sam said, perking up a little. "You're getting me even more addicted to caffeine than I already am. Not that that's a bad thing, I think."

"Damn." Peter pretended to look regretful. "I was hoping to get you addicted to fried sugar. I'm gonna have to start all over again, aren't I?"

"If that means you're going to keep visiting me here, then yes, you do," Sam replied.

"I dunno," Peter said, giving Sam a doubtful look. "I'm not sure I like you. Besides, you're ruining my reputation."

Of course he said this while handing over the coffee and donuts.

"What? How am I ruining your reputation?" Sam asked.

"Brooke thinks I'm a geek," Peter said. He leaned against the counter as he sipped his coffee. "That's gotta be your fault."
