New Kid Registration and Check-In - Open Tent Outside the Dorms - All Day Friday

Well, the office was gone, but apparently that didn't mean that the office drones had time off. They were in an open tent outside the dorms processing new students bright and early on Friday morning.

It was a veritable paperwork conga line as the human-looking members of the staff did their thing, along with Fred Trooper, Bucky T. Squirrel, Venus, Bob Gremlin and Roz. You might even see the tech support kitten out and about, trying to keep the computers running. Robert Goulet had a family reunion to go to and couldn't make it.

Weapons Check-In

Students were then instructed by the office drones to check any and all weapons in with Constable Fraser and Principal Washburn (the guy in red and the pregnant lady who shouldn't be messed with). The good Constable and Principal will ping in when they can.

Inara stood at the weapons table, debating whether some of her more choice botanticals counted as weapons. "What kind of place is this, that weapons aren't allowed?"

"A school," Fraser supplied. "You may keep weapons but they are not allowed in the dormitories and on the school campus. We supply a weapons locker for storage of all weapons."

Fraser paused, having not been asked about that particular weapon before. "I think those would be allowed to pass since they are not specifically classified as a weapon."

Aravis reluctantly unsheathed a jeweled scimitar. "I trust it will be in safe hands?" she asked. "It has some sentimental value."

"It will be," Fraser said with a nod. "The weapons locker was able to survive the explosion of the school. Your weapon is safe."

Mikey pulled his nunchucks from their spot on his belt and pouted at them.
"Dude, you'll take good care of them, right? I mean, because I'm gonna miss them, you know? And I may take to swinging around pepperoni sticks or something, dudes. And that might not be too cool. I mean, it would be cool. But they're so not my 'chucks."
He closed his eyes and held the weapons forward for someone to take them.

Fraser laughed quietly before taking the nunchucks from Mikey. "They will be safe, I assure you. And you will be able to handle and use them whenever you'd like in the allowed places."

And during any invasion but Fraser didn't say that.

Kel closed her eyes, and mentally repeated her mantra. Water off of a stone. "Are you sure that I am not allowed to keep my glaive?" She was answered with a head shake. "All right." She handed over the long bladed weapon, and then set out pulling the knives out of her boots, and other holds she'd made for them. "Oh, sorry. Forgot about this one." She opened her trunk, and pulled out a red fan.

Roxas didn't really have much in the way of weapons, but he had brought his Struggle Bat with him (which I would totally link to a pic of but apparently none exist online? - It's like a baseball bat covered in a big thick covering of soft blue foam, used for hitting people with :) ) and wasn't sure if it was classed as a weapon or not.

"Uh."

He laid it out on the table.

"Is this classed as a weapon?"

Abigail had a few knives that she didn't mind turning over, but she looked very concerned about putting her bow in with the rest of the weapons. "Are you sure everything will be safe?" she asked. "What if we want to practice with our equipment?"

Vi tried to look innocent as she went up to the check-in desk. "I just have these," she said, displaying a liter bottle of holy water and three stakes. "No problem, right?"

Ba'al sauntered up to the weapons check in table and smiled, as charmingly as possible. He removed the ornately jeweled, ribbony bracelet from his right hand and laid it down on the table. The stupid Tau'ri probably wouldn't even know that was a weapon... but you could never be to sure, and Ba'al was here to learn about the humans as much as he was here for anything else.
