New Kid Registration and Check-In - Open Tent Outside the Dorms - All Day Friday

Well, the office was gone, but apparently that didn't mean that the office drones had time off. They were in an open tent outside the dorms processing new students bright and early on Friday morning.

It was a veritable paperwork conga line as the human-looking members of the staff did their thing, along with Fred Trooper, Bucky T. Squirrel, Venus, Bob Gremlin and Roz. You might even see the tech support kitten out and about, trying to keep the computers running. Robert Goulet had a family reunion to go to and couldn't make it.

[OOC: New students, check in here! Wait for OCD! OCD and pie up. Have at it! General sketchy idea of how the dorms are set out.]

"Are you planning on using those items to strike other people?" Fraser asked. "Perhaps intent is more important than item."

"I don't intend to, no," Don said, becoming more thoughtful. "The only situation I would be using it to strike anyone would be if I were threatened -- and then, really, my books or anything else around me would be just as much a weapon. But with my bo, I'm much more likely to be able to put an end to such a situation with minimal damage to either party, whereas with a book there's always the danger of papercuts in addition to blunt force trauma."

He really did make a good argument. "Well, we hope that being threatened does not occur. You make a compelling argument. Does your bo accompany you everywhere?"

"When I'm inside, I usually have it nearby but not on me," he said, trying to look very trustworthy.

"And what about when classes begin?"

"I wouldn't need it during classes unless a weapon was called for," Donatello said, suddenly very serious. "It's difficult to sit down with a bo strapped to your back."

He nodded. "I think you can keep it with you then. If it is used as a weapon when it shouldn't be, you'll lose it to the weapons locker."

"Thank you," Donnie said, smiling. "I'll be sure to use it only when appropriate."

"Good to hear," he said with a nod. "Enjoy your time here."
