New Kid Registration and Check-In - Open Tent Outside the Dorms - All Day Friday

Well, the office was gone, but apparently that didn't mean that the office drones had time off. They were in an open tent outside the dorms processing new students bright and early on Friday morning.

It was a veritable paperwork conga line as the human-looking members of the staff did their thing, along with Fred Trooper, Bucky T. Squirrel, Venus, Bob Gremlin and Roz. You might even see the tech support kitten out and about, trying to keep the computers running. Robert Goulet had a family reunion to go to and couldn't make it.

"Won't that take months?" She asked, "And where will we be staying in the meantime?"

"It will take a bit," he said. "And the dormitories are still intact. For the summer, the students will be in cabins at our campground."

"Cabins?" That sounded very much not like a House. "In the wilderness?"

"Not entirely in the wilderness but with less amenities than our dormitories," he said. "They're very nice."

Inara swallowed the instinctive protest. This man was obviously in authority, and he knew what was best. "I'm sure they are," she inclined her head.

"If you have any trouble there, feel free to come find myself or another person in the administration," he offered.

"Thank you very much." She was ready to walk away when a final thought occurred to her, "Ah, since we won't be living in the dormitories for a while, should I move my things in there, or into the cabins?"

"Feel free to move your belongings into your room and take whatever you'd like to the cabins with you," he explained.

"Thank you again," she smiled at him, "and I'm sorry, I didn't learn your name. How rude of me."

"Constable Benton Fraser," he told her. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

"You as well," she said, appreciating his manner very much. "Thank you for helping me to get settled. I'll leave you to your work and move in to the dormitories and meet my fellow students."

"Enjoy your time here," Fraser said.
