New Kid Registration and Check-In - Open Tent Outside the Dorms - All Day Friday

Well, the office was gone, but apparently that didn't mean that the office drones had time off. They were in an open tent outside the dorms processing new students bright and early on Friday morning.

It was a veritable paperwork conga line as the human-looking members of the staff did their thing, along with Fred Trooper, Bucky T. Squirrel, Venus, Bob Gremlin and Roz. You might even see the tech support kitten out and about, trying to keep the computers running. Robert Goulet had a family reunion to go to and couldn't make it.

Roxas didn't really have much in the way of weapons, but he had brought his Struggle Bat with him (which I would totally link to a pic of but apparently none exist online? - It's like a baseball bat covered in a big thick covering of soft blue foam, used for hitting people with :) ) and wasn't sure if it was classed as a weapon or not.

"Uh."

He laid it out on the table.

"Is this classed as a weapon?"

Fraser looked at it carefully. "That depends. What is it normally used for?"

"Struggle. It's a game. You... hit people with it."

He cleared his throat.

"I'm not gonna hit people with it here unless they play a game with me, but... you know. I need to keep up practice."

"So, the bat is used in a game?" Fraser asked. "Like baseball?"

"Kind of. Only the person holds the balls and you hit the person to get them to drop it. It's no big deal if I have to leave it in. But I can get it back while I'm here, to practice, right?"

Because he's not averse to leaving it behind, so long as he can still use it during the summer.

"You can, of course, get it back," Fraser replied. "At anytime. This is just a precaution."

He leaves the bat on the table.

"So, do I ask you if I want it back? Or will it be at the office or something?"

"It will be in the weapons locker," Fraser told him. "Accessible to all students. We hold all variety of weapons there."

And Roxas gives him a small (microscopic) smile, and heads off. Struggle practice can wait.
