Traditional Fairy Tales, Class Fourteen (04/16)

Monday, April 16, Period Two

A large projection screen decorates one wall of the classroom, and there's a nice assortment of pastries, muffins, popcorn and pretzels on the table in the center of the room.

"Good morning everyone. We were scheduled to have a test today, but I felt it was hardly fair to give you a test the week before finals. So instead, we'll be watching a film that's full of the classic fairy tale elements - The Ogre and the Ass and it always said that omg. You'll probably recognize some of them from the stories we've read, although you'll find they've been turned a bit on their side. Please remember that next week you'll be making your project presentations, so I'll be available in my office tomorrow, or after class today, for any questions."

[ooc: Anyone with kidlets is welcome to bring them to class, just please check with me OOC before telling Aziraphale exactly where they came from (so I can avoid contradicting some preplay). Please wait for OCD is up. Entertain me!]

Lana watched the movie with Maggie all cuddled up on her lap. She couldn't help but laugh as the little girl giggled helplessly over the antics of the main characters.

Liz was feeling very relieved that none of her kids from alternate universes had showed up. Right then she didn't think she could deal with something like that. She was grateful to be able to watch the movie as it helped take her mind off things.

No complaints from Turtle about a nice, easy movie day. Especially since, yup, delightfully and canonly kid-free.

Cedric with Aiden in tow watched the movie quietly. He was quite grateful that Aiden seemed to be quiet and well behaved in comparison to some of the other children he'd seen and heard about.

There weren't enough words in the English language to describe how happy Layla was that there were no kids running around calling her Mommy. It wasn't that she didn't like kids - she really did. But she liked being able to shuffle them back towards their parents just as much.

Conner had a squirming little girl on each knee and looked distinctly frazzled.

"Daddy, wanna watch a soccer movie!" Mia kept exclaming.

Kimberly kept poking her. "Shut up at least he's green!"

Conner just whimpered.

Jude looked exhausted.

The little blonde girl clinging to his hand, however, was incredibly well-rested. "What's the movie, Daddy? Huh huh? Is it one of the zombie ones? You said we can watch a zombie movie! Grrrrr aaaargh!" And she did her best zombie impression.

"Mom, I saaaaaw this already," Graham complained. "It's old."

"So see it again," Angela replied, not having a better idea.

"But -"

She stroked the boy's hair. "Shhhh."

Grumbling slightly, he curled up against her leg and was quickly absorbed in the film.

Having passed Aiden to Cedric, Jack had Ananda curled in his lap. She wasn't watching the movie, though; the other students and kids seemed to be far more interesting. "No eavesdropping on private stuff," Jack muttered in her ear. "At least pretend to watch the movie."

She just smiled as enigmatically as a seven year old could, and turned towards the screen.

While Ana sat with her hands folded carefully in her lap, except when she breaks into fits of giggles, Tommy bounces in his seat, a wide grin on his face.

Haruhi wondered what was up with the sudden influx of kidlets, but overall didn't pay much mind to them. She watched the movie without asking too much.

Maggie ran up and threw herself at Phale, hugging him hard around the knees. "Unca Phale, Unca Phale!"

Pandora ran up to Aziraphale and beamed up at him.

"Hi Uncle Phale!"

Bailey, who despite having not gone anywhere near a mud puddle since her last bath, was still covered in mud, didn't so much run up as seem to just suddenly be standing at Aziraphale's side. She was a fast little bugger.

She stared up at Aziraphale for a long moment, then said "Yeah, I don't know you," and ran back over to Nadia.

Lana was here, Maggie on hip, and mostly ready to answer any questions. Only mostly though, since she found herself still very distracted by Maggie.

Maggie's here, happily coloring away. She's glad to answer questions too, just like her mommy!
