Monday, April 16, Period Two

A large projection screen decorates one wall of the classroom, and there's a nice assortment of pastries, muffins, popcorn and pretzels on the table in the center of the room.

"Good morning everyone. We were scheduled to have a test today, but I felt it was hardly fair to give you a test the week before finals. So instead, we'll be watching a film that's full of the classic fairy tale elements - The Ogre and the Ass ~~and it always said that omg~~. You'll probably recognize some of them from the stories we've read, although you'll find they've been turned a bit on their side. Please remember that next week you'll be making your project presentations, so I'll be available in my office tomorrow, or after class today, for any questions."

Lana was here, Maggie on hip, and mostly ready to answer any questions. Only mostly though, since she found herself still very distracted by Maggie.

Pandora skipped up to Lana. "Hi Aunt Lana! How are you? I'm great."

Lana wasn't particularly surprised to see more kids and since Maggie thought of Blair as an Uncle, it wasn't too far a stretch to imagine there must be kids here who would know her too. "I'm good," she said with a smile. "But my memory's not doing so well. You're going to have to remind me of your name and who your mommy and daddy are."

Pandora grinned. "I'm Pandora!" She squealed. "Phoebe is my mommy and your best friend but she calls you a sister and hi!"

Pandora was a bit overly energetic today.

"Of course, you're Pandora," Lana said, reaching out to hug her. "It's lovely to see you."

Pandora hugged her. "I'm glad you're here with Mommy. She's happy when you and Uncle Jim are nearby."

"I'm glad I'm here with your mommy too," Lana said, smiling over at Phoebe. "She makes me happy too."

"I'm glad that you aren't mad at Daddy anymore, Aunt Lana. It was my fault the ball broke the window, really."

"Oh," Lana said. "And why was I mad at your daddy instead of you? And um... what is your daddy's name again?"

Pandora bounced. "Anders is my daddy, silly."

Lana's eyes opened wide. "Of course, he is," she said smiling. "Teaching you pyramid, no doubt, right?"

Pandora grinned. "Pyramid and soccer and other sports." She nodded. "But I'm not allowed to use my powers during games because that will get me benched for the season."

"Very true," Lana said with a nod. "It would be cheating and totally not fair to people without powers. Like, oh, say, me."

"I would never use my powers against you, Aunt Lana."

"Because you know you'd get in big trouble, squirt!" Lana said, reaching out to ruffle her hair. "You wouldn't want Uncle Jim to get all growly."

"Uncle Jim only gets growly at people that upset you. He never growls at me." She seemed very proud of this.

"That's because you're a very good girl," Lana said and hugged her again.
