Photography [7/19]

Veronica might have appeared more subdued than usual when her students arrived this morning.

"Morning," she said. "I hope you all remembered to wear old clothes. Today we're going to learn the process of film developing." She gave them a handout and briefly went over it.

"Okay, I think you're ready to hit the darkroom," she said, forcing a smile. "I'll be here if you have any questions."

Once they were finished developing their photos, Veronica let them wash their hands and then instructed them to take seats in the classroom again so they could brainstorm their prompts for next week before dismissing them.

Janet studied the handout carefully. Dangerous chemicals were fun.

Parker read over the handout, and wondered if some of her photos would look better in sepia tones, or black-and-white, than in color. Hmm.

Cally read everything very carefully, as she didn't want to have an unfortunate chemical accident or anything today.

Kaylee looked over the handout carefully. She really didn't want to end up destroying her photos.

Angela read the handout very carefully. She thought her photos might be okay, and she didn't want to screw them up with chemicals.

Archie, as it happened, was in one of his nicer sets of uniform today, but in no mental state to deal with unfamiliar chemicals. He did, however, read over the handout carefully.

Stark read over the handout twice. And hoped for the best.

Dean read the handouts carefully, memorising all the details. It seemed simple enough...

Broots read over the handout and in no way considered which chemicals might be useful to sneak out.

Kaylee headed into the dark room where she developed her photos of blue (http://wheeledone1.homestead.com/files/photoblue.jpg), earth (http://wheeledone1.homestead.com/files/photoearth.jpg) and leaves (http://wheeledone1.homestead.com/files/photoleaves.jpg).

Angela carefully developed the photo of Rory for blue, and photos she'd taken around camp for earth and leaves.

Stark started developing his underexposed photos. Alas.

After carefully consulting her handout, Rory developed the picture she'd taken of her brother for blue (http://pics.livejournal.com/rory__gilmore/pic/0004t95d) and the photo she'd taken of one of the roses she had been given for leaves (http://pics.livejournal.com/rory__gilmore/pic/0004w4q3).

After a moment's consideration, she decided to develop the picture of Anakin with dirt on his nose in black and white, for earth (http://pics.livejournal.com/rory__gilmore/pic/0004serh).

Alphonse wasn't too worried about handling the chemicals, but was still cautious developing the photos. His right off the beach photo was blue (http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y188/duskino/fh_photo-01.jpg), in the preserve for earth (http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y188/duskino/fh_photo-02.jpg), and a small branch for leaves (http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y188/duskino/fh_photo-03.jpg).

Parker developed her photos for blue leaves Earth (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/959113.html?thread=39348361#t39348361), Jack in cutoffs and underwear for blue (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/702728.html?thread=47260424#t47260424), and leaves (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/936959.html?thread=47952895#t47952895), still wishing she had a separate one for earth/Earth. She frowned at the one of the TARDIS, worrying it would end up overexposed.

Dean carefully followed the devleoping directions as he developed the leaves, blue and earth (http://saltandammo.livejournal.com/18906.html) pictures he'd got Alec to pose for.

He hadn't done anything like this before but he was shyly pleased with the results.

Broots carefully worked on getting his photos of blue (http://www.fotosearch.com/comp/THK/THK178/A0001579.jpg), Earth (http://mishuna.image.pbase.com/u35/jwalk/large/23396340.rocks.jpg), and leaves (http://www.fotosearch.com/comp/IGS/IGS286/IS227-006.jpg) developed. They came out a bit darker than what he hoped for.

Cameron was waiting outside the door, holding a cup of the Perk's coffee. Even if he was inside, he was wearing sunglasses and probably for a very good reason.
