Photography [7/19]

Veronica might have appeared more subdued than usual when her students arrived this morning.

"Morning," she said. "I hope you all remembered to wear old clothes. Today we're going to learn the process of film developing." She gave them a handout and briefly went over it.

"Okay, I think you're ready to hit the darkroom," she said, forcing a smile. "I'll be here if you have any questions."

Once they were finished developing their photos, Veronica let them wash their hands and then instructed them to take seats in the classroom again so they could brainstorm their prompts for next week before dismissing them.

"Nah. Just thinking out loud. I do that when brainstorming." Parker looked amused. "Water... well, we are on an island. But that's too easy, somehow. Hmm. We need a rainshower. I'm still mad I didn't get pix of the mudfight last week. That would've been perfect for earth."

Blair grinned and held out a copy of the photo of the mudAngel he and Willow had made. "Some of us were prepared during the mudfight. But maybe you don't need a rainshower. There's lots of other things that are made of water."

Parker snickered at the mudAngel. A lot. "Oh, that's perfect... True. Fountains, showers, baths, drinking water, the pool...." Her eyes narrowed. "Hmm. The pool ought to have some good reflections off of it, especially if I turn off everything except the pool lights. That might work."

Blair tilted his head to the side and stared into space. "I wonder how hard it would be to get a canoe and a tree into the pool?"

Re: Brainstorming [7/19]

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-07-19 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Parker grinned. "The canoe, probably not at all. The tree... heh." She tapped her fingers on her camera. "We could always try to find out?"

[and back in a few hours. *waves*]

"Maybe a kayak." Blair grinned at Parker. "Yes, I think we definetely need to find out."

"Heh. I'm supposed to go to Fast Eddie's tonight-- what're your plans for tomorrow like? I don't have any workshops at all."

Re: Brainstorming [7/19]

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-07-20 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
"I have...plans...tonight too. I have Becky's workshop tomorrow afternoon, but that's all I have planned for tomorrow." Blair bounced.

"Right. Photo ops in the pool, tomorrow evening after dinner." Parker grinned. "Bring a kayak. I'll see if I can't find a tree."

Re: Brainstorming [7/19]

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-07-20 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh sure, give me the hard job." Blair grinned and bounced again. "It's not like I have connections down at the docks or anything."

Re: Brainstorming [7/19]

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-07-20 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
Parker snickered. "Hey, you're the one who had the canoe idea. Your idea, your responsibility." She cocked her head. "Hmm. Also. I may have another idea for this..."

Blair laughed and looked down at his doodle. "Do you think I need to get oars too? Or do you think it would look stupid to have a tree in a kayak holding an oar?"

"You do?" Blair eyed her warily. "Somehow that fills me with dread."

Re: Brainstorming [7/19]

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-07-20 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
"Oars would be good," Parker said dryly. "Although I'm sure we could push it around the pool. And I think it depends entirely on the angle."

"Awww. Purely photographic creativity. I swear." Yeah, that smile probably didn't help much.

Re: Brainstorming [7/19]

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-07-20 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
"Okay. Kayak and oars, shouldn't be that hard to get." Blair said sarcastically. "Photographic creativity? This from someone who was just going to hope for a rainstorm?"

Re: Brainstorming [7/19]

Parker whapped him lightly on the arm, but grinned. "Your snark factor is increasing, Sandberg. Yay. nd that's why they call it brainstorming. The storm comes, and you suddenly have a flowerbed of ideas." She paused. "Or a tropical jungle."

Re: Brainstorming [7/19]

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-07-20 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
"Or sometimes you meet up with a smarter classmate who helps you with ideas." Blair teased. "I think my snark factor increases the longer I'm around you. You're like a snark carrier."

Re: Brainstorming [7/19]

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-07-20 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
"And proud of it!" Parker grinned. "Life is better when viewed through a snark filter. Sharper, faster, much more entertaining. It's like high-definition TV. If I can inoculate you with this syndrome, you'll be immune to boredom and better able to cope with the zings of the cynics around you."

Re: Brainstorming [7/19]

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-07-20 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
"No thanks, Parker." Blair said through his laughing. "I may pick up some of the symptoms, but I'm immune to the disease. I'm too much of a hippie to be snarky all the time."

Re: Brainstorming [7/19]

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-07-20 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Peace out, man," Parker deadpanned. "Too bad. Right, it's a date. Tomorrow, after Sex Ed." She really *couldn't* help the smirk that inspired.

Re: Brainstorming [7/19]

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-07-20 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
Blair rolled his eyes and blushed heavily. "Uh..sure."

Re: Brainstorming [7/19]

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-07-20 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Parker's smile went even more wicked, but she refrained from comment. Too bad Bel wasn't there, though. Extra points.

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-07-20 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
If Blair knew what Parker was saying he would say that the bet doesn't count outside of class. Instead he stuck out his tongue at her.

Re: Brainstorming [7/19]

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-07-20 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
Parker cocked an eyebrow at him inquiringly. "Something you want me to do with that, Sandberg?"

Re: Brainstorming [7/19]

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-07-20 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
"Meep!" Blair squeaked loudly and clapped his hand over his mouth. "I think I hear...um...the bell. Loud bell. Gotta go!"
