Today's shenanigans had been redirected into the community center--there were signs in the park to herd everyone into the correct place, and the food vendors had set up their rickshaws out front in anticipation.

"Today," Anakin began once everyone had taken seats, "we will take a break from physical acuman and see how good you are at following directions. Since I've taught most of you, I'm betting on...less well." He gestured at the tables, baking ingredients, and ovens that had been set up. "Today you will be working in pairs to complete two cooking goals. We have guest judges to grade your attempts: Dr. Lecter, who teaches culinary courses, and Mr. Eliot Spencer, who runs the diner. "Those who come in second place will receive the glory of the singing fish," Anakin said, calling the terrifying beastie back to his hand with an indolent wave. "The rest of you get...sleep without nightmares, I guess."

"Congratulations to Zack and Hernando," Anakin said, holding the fish out. "It's...something else."
