Summer Shenanigans, Wednesday, July 18, 2018
Today's shenanigans had been redirected into the community center--there were signs in the park to herd everyone into the correct place, and the food vendors had set up their rickshaws out front in anticipation.
"Today," Anakin began once everyone had taken seats, "we will take a break from physical acuman and see how good you are at following directions. Since I've taught most of you, I'm betting on...less well." He gestured at the tables, baking ingredients, and ovens that had been set up. "Today you will be working in pairs to complete two cooking goals. We have guest judges to grade your attempts: Dr. Lecter, who teaches culinary courses, and Mr. Eliot Spencer, who runs the diner. Listen for you names, please:
Ahsoka and Cristina; Aphra and Kanan; Amaya and Aloy; Zack and Hernando; Tip and Reno; Theron and Uma; Karla and Beaker; Jaina and Sidon; Astrid and Jono; and Mitsutada and Kitty."
"Those who come in second place will receive the glory of the singing fish," Anakin said, calling the terrifying beastie back to his hand with an indolent wave. "The rest of you get...sleep without nightmares, I guess."

"So, this time around you work on mixin' the cake, and I rig up a food-safe explosive that ain't gonna kill anyone?"
Because Reno was cool with being the cool teacher, too, but probably didn't actually want to kill Hannibal or Eliot in the process.

Tip was a little less good at the whole "follow every instruction to the letter" thing, but she was reasonably sure she could handle some cake pans, rice crispy treats and melting chocolate.
Their base was probably going to come out a little burnt. And raw in the middle. But hey! Still wouldn't kill anyone!

And really, raw in the middle meant it'd be easier to blow up!

"Alright, we have this," Reno drawled, looking perfectly pleased with this setup as he started to zip around, looking for baking components that he could rig up to be just volatile enough to make this monstrosity blow.
