Janet stopped in and grabbed her paperwork from the office not-so-coincidentally checking on the package Methos had received. Then switched to the computer behind the Collections Desk, where she continued working on the backlog of orders to be entered.

"How's it going?" Janet asked Methos. "We're taking Rory into Special Collections today."

"Why do I have the sudden feeling that we're in an old war movie, and the next scene will be me writing a letter to Rory's mother about how she is missing in action?"

Occasionally he scrawls some numbers on a notepad. Focused, determined, hungover, annoyed...that about sums it up.]

After Classics and her meeting with the Doctor, Sam walked into the library and threw her books on one of the tables before heading over towards the card catalog and pulling out one of the drawers.

"Anthropology...Ants...Astrology, no, that's too far..."

Holding open the door to the Special Collections section, Parker asked, "Everyone got your gloves?"

The stacks are metal this close to the door, mostly steel and chrome, and the nearby movable bookcase is dull aluminum, parked next to the far wall.

Four round tables with green-shaded reading lights line the entrance, and a reading nook is off to the right, with comfortable leather couches and chairs.

Beyond them, the books go on forever.

In need of quiet and lack of distraction, a wide-eyed Anders ventures into the library for the first time in a non-zombie-fighting capacity. And really, it's been so long since he's set foot in there that he doesn't remember what it looks like, especially since that last time was complete chaos.

He unloads his crammed-past-capacity backpack onto the table and starts arranging his books for the various class final projects he's working on, then hunkers down behind his little book fort with a good supply of gumballs and a beleaguered expression.

Elizabeth grabs a table to herself. Out of her bag comes a folder of notes, pink, yellow, green, blue, orange and purple highlighters and a notepad. A quick trip into the stacks, and she returned with half a dozen biology books.

Notes spread across the table, and books creating a little biology fort, she settles in to work.

On her way back from the stacks, arms loaded with books on Greek architecture, she waved to Liz as she went by.

"Hey Liz. I don't know about you, but this part of high school wasn't something I ever really felt the urge to repeat."

[Much as he would like his students to believe that he's omnipotent, the Doctor actually isn't. And since Parker is probably the only one of the minions who's speaking to him at the moment, he can't ask anyone whether or not his students have come in. So, after class, he camps out in the library with his PowerBook and The Future of Spacetime (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0393020223/qid=1133988407/sr=8-2/ref=pd_bbs_2/104-8493595-1352730?n=507846&s=books&v=glance), reading and occasionally taking notes.

He spots Crichton (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhigh/432202.html?thread=20046922#t20046922), and he'd talked to Sam and Jack. Hopefully the rest of them would show up, or he'd be quite put out.]
