Marty takes his usual table and pulls out his books to study.

Parker waves on her way in, and says, "Hey. I'm asking Zero about using her club for the Good Guys Brigade as soon as she gets in."

"Does the rest of her club consist of kittens? Because I have to ask how effective that club actually is. We should probably get the group together pretty soon just because-"

Marty nods over to where Draco and Belthazor are

"-who knows what the goon squad has planned."

"Cute. It's pretty small right now; Zero, Lisa Cuddy, and Janet Fraiser are all in it, plus a few other people. Which is why I thought it would work pretty well-- their charter is to look into 'weirdness' here at school, so no one can complain if that's what we're doing, can they?" Parker shrugged. "I was going to ask the Colorado crowd to join-- they're all smart, most of them have been in ROTC programs, and Carter, Liz, and Fraiser are all semi-geniuses. We need smarts as well as brawn. And I think Aeryn Sun and John Crichton are in just on the basis of being Angel-face's nominal babysitters."

Marty nods. "That's a lot of people. Though having half the school involved is probably a good idea. I assume there's a semi-private place here in the library where we can meet?"

"A couple places we can block off, and close to Special Collections, the cameras get funny. So yeah. We should aim for Thursday or Friday for a first meeting, if Zero okays it."

"So is this an official thing? We may have to get a faculty advisor and a club charter to do so."

"The official advisor is already Dr. House-- mostly to make sure Zero didn't poison herself with gremlin guts, I think-- but we might want to pick up another one for magic consultations. And I don't know, I have to ask Zero what it says when I ask if we can hijack her club," Parker said dryly.

Marty leaned closer to Parker so he could make sure no one else could hear.

"Who would we ask as a consultant? It took forever to convince Tara that we should soul the big broody forehead, if we were any slower Rory and Logan would have been vamp food. We'll need someone who can move a little faster in the decision department. Got anybody in mind?"

"Two, although I don't know one of them well enough to be sure she'll do it," Parker said, lowering her voice. "Professor the Tick. His Criminal Justice class is actually really good-- I've eavesdropped a couple times. And we could use experience, you know? And Miss Calendar. She did a spell on Sunday, I think she's a witch as well as a subsitute teacher. What do you think?"

"I'm in his Justice class. It is pretty good, even though lately he seems to have this cartoon fetish. Which I love! He'd probably do anything as long as it was to promote Truth, Justice and the freedom to choose flatware."

Marty paused for a moment. "You said that Ms. Calendar did a spell on Sunday? Maybe I should drop by her office and get an idea of how she would feel about helping us out. I'll put a condition on it that we'll bring her on as an advisor if Zero approves of the advisor."

"You ask the Tick, and if you think Miss Calendar seems sane and helpful, I'll ask her later. *After* I talk to Zero about all this." Parker smiled wryly. "Any other ideas for new members?"

Bel eyed Marty as he sat down at a table and cracked open a book he'd selected and started to scan a few passages.

Bel raised an eyebrow, then went back to reading "Zen's Heritage -- The Masters & Their Teachings," taking a few notes here and there.

Angela walks over. "Hi. We're supposed to take Rory into Special Collections today, so ... this may be the last time you see me." She's smiling, clearly not actually scared.

Parker points at her, and smirks. "If you want her to write, you should give her your future email address now."

"There's e-mail in special collections?"

"There are monkeys and salamanders in Special Collections, why wouldn't there be e-mail?"

Marty cocks an eyebrow. "Really? You should really give me advance notice fo these things. I feel like I should have a Bon Voyage party every time you go in there."

"If you wanted to throw one, I wouldn't complain," Angela says. "Seriously? Parker thinks it liked me, so we should be fine."

Marty blinks a couple of times. "How does a book collection like-"

Marty shakes his head.

"Never mind. The big question is does the collection like Parker? Because I prefer that my girlfriend comes back in her original condition." Marty is clearly trying to annoy Parker.

Parker smirked at him. "Ten safaris in, no casualties." She made a check mark in the air. "Unless you count Sark, and that wasn't a safari as much as an emergency evacuation. And you know it likes you if it lets you leave when you ask. Which Angela did, so, yay. New library aide and co-minion."

"Uh-huh. Nice edit there Parker... but I'll take Angela's word for it that she'll be okay. It's easy to see why special collections likes her. You I'm not so sure of."

Parker stuck out her tongue at him. "I'd love to know what it thinks of *you*, Martin Blank."

Shrugging, she added, "Zero's coming with. It doesn't matter if it likes me if she's there. It *really* likes her."
